You may consider a new thread Brian.
What turbo cam is it that you have? How do you know it isn't stock? I'd consider it if you are replacing the headgasket anyway. It's a fair amount of time to remove a cam, so if you were paying somebody to do it, consider that cost and decide if it is worth it.
Does the M30b34 need head work anyway?

I will answer your questions with the hope of gaining any insight.
I have installed a CAT cam with a turbo profile. Duration @ 1 mm is 294 degrees for intake and 273 degrees for exhaust.
The HG is not part of the equation for swapping the two heads.
I will reduce the compression ratio with the B35 head over the B34 head.
CR for US M30 b34 with b35 head
CR 7.45 :1
