Adam Wilson in Chicago,

Is that e24 to the same standards as zane's black car? If so that would be sick. Have you seen it or know anything else about it? I am just amazed at the power output zane can get

No, the E24 isn't at the hp level of Zane's black E12. I think I asked Zane once about the E12 and he said he didn't think he could ever duplicate that in another car for a customer. It's just too over-the-top as anyone at 5erFest 2007 can attest to.

Hey Guys,

Still around and still have the black car and it still runs great. I have not showed it much or done much of anything other than drive it around on weekends to keep things fresh, even thinking of selling it. I got onto a slippery slope with a Porsche 930 turbo slantnose, acquired a few years ago, now at 2600lbs and 500hp, it rips ass like no other. And I thought engine building was easy! Never touch one of these things! But when done, they are very sick cars that takes much nerve to hang on to and not black out....else kill yourself. I was even thinking of getting a Fla. tag which says "WIDMKR" for widow-maker. haha Anyhow, thanks for all the memories and glad you guys think of me or my car often. You guys are great!

My email is: nastroma@comcast.net

I'll help anyone with advice, knowledge or what have you.

As you see, we know how to get down! I'm not the only one with an itch for speed. ;)

Get a job, go to school, stop speeding. Seriously, if you have no money to burn it does you no favors to draw extra attention to yourself out on the road. At the very least learn to do it judiciously and not all the time.

/voice of experience.

Zane - good to hear you haven't gotten much saner with the passage of time.

That car was seriously awesome. I still think about it from time to time. It was probably my favorite car from that show. The m5 race car was up there too, though.

You don't need anything even half as fast as this car. You need a Toyota Paseo.

Trust me. Slow down, caleb. Learn where and when to open it up before you end up even more broke or worse.

I don't envy very many people in life, especially for their possessions. But, I am envious of being able to report an experience like this! I can't find the turbo boost knob in my car and it isn't covered in the Bentley. :?

Zane's E12 is total badass. Always has and always will in my books. One of my all time favorite BMW's. He took it up to a level on its own over a decade ago. Kudos to him!

How funny is this...I happen to come across his feature in the Performance BMW magazine this past weekend. He made the cover too.

Sounds like the car was featured on the front cover of Performance BMW in June, 2006, but their previous issues online stop at February, 2008. Anybody have the photos from that issue? Or at least better photos than what I found at FirstFives?
