I think Pat's idea of a kitty tower is a good one. I have 3 cats, and they all love to be up nice and high. It's a basic cat instinct so they can keep watch.

Anita and I have no kids, and no plans for any. Our cats are like our kids. They all live indoors all the time, but if they were outdoor, and some MFer shot them for jumping on his car, he'd have MUCH bigger troubles than some cat scratches in his clear coat. I WOULD be back to set your car on fire, or maybe even your house. No questions asked. Pets are family, period.

I had a cat climb into my engine bay during a winter and got close to the radiator, sadly I did't know she was there and started the car. Had to take the cat to the Vet so she could be put to sleep. I always check now to see if a kitty is hanging around before I leave now.
Hope he's drawn some valuable suggestions from all this. :)
I have, as a matter of fact, thank you very much. Of course, by the time I get an anaconda, two rottweillers, a fire hose, a high-voltage zapper, a 12-gauge, and a cat tower in my garage, and then smear the whole thing with butter and/or contact paper, it's going to be awfully crowded in there, and just a bit messy. The cat will be so freaked out I'll never see her again. Problem solved! On second thought, maybe I'll just try the cat tower and see how that works, after I run out of packing tape, that is. Thanks for all the ideas everyone. And don't worry, kitty is safe with me. (I need an evil-looking emoticon-thing to put here, but I don't see one)
