no room at the inn.

I stopped in at the Days Inn yesterday and found (to my great embarrassment
) that I had not made a reservation and they had no rooms available. The manager on duty recommended Rainbow Courts Motel.
http://www.rainbowcourts.com/
"Family owned since 1948"
I couldn't pass up the chance to stay in a classic "park you car nest to your room" motor court that's as old as I am!
Great choice, but I grabbed the last room available for Fri and Sat nites. Owner is a great resource.

Friday, we'll start registering around 5PM.
This will happen at the Day's Inn.

Not long after that we'll leave driving to... (destination will be disclosed upon registration).
We'll have a full day followed by dinner back in Rockdale at 7PM.

Here's some of the "more"...
Registration fee will be $5.00 per car + the new and used part listed above.
One T-Shirt will be included with each registration.
$10.00 will buy each additional attendee a T-Shirt.
Quantity and sizes are limited so "first come first served" will be the rule.
About the parts;
Bring them,
it'll make things much more enjoyable than the $mall fee.
Examples of new parts that won't break the bank;
set of Spark Plugs, Brake Pads, Oil Filter, Wiper Blades, ECU Temp Sensor, Fuses, Main or Fuel Pump relay...
You've probably got some item laying around the garage that you bought and planned to install, but... Bring that.
Used parts;
Hood Shocks, Fuel Pump, set of Belts / Hoses, Metric Wheel... I know you've got a garage like mine.
Be creative...
it'll make things much more enjoyable than the $mall fee
Oh yeah, the $mall Fee;
A clean crisp $10.00 bill in lieu of the new part.
A clean crisp $5.00 bill in lieu of the used part.
All fees will be collected at registration, and payable in
CA$H ONLY.
to Rockdale and beyond...

I hate to do this I have been looking forward for this event since I joined the board and met Sherman, however with the car not being quite ready and my wife in the late stages pregnancy (Wyatt will be here in a week maybe more maybe less). I just dont see myself making it to this year. There still is a little glimmer of hope but it is slowly dimming.
