Last night I accomplished absolutely nothing!
Texas or bust right?
I'm dealing with an idler arm debacle. See my thread in GC.

Small update.
Got R&D green springs from Todd installed along with Bilsteins. Alignment was knocked out Saturday night, thanks Mike!. Last night Troy assisted in diagnosing a bad master cylinder & bleeding of the brakes, thanks to him too!
Things are rolling along nicely, but still a ways to go.

Yessir that'd be my hunk-o-junk. Friday can't come soon enough. My appearance will be proof I made it. Even if arriving on flatbed, skateboard, or other means.
\Small update.
So last night sucked ballz! I completed building my very own CUSTOM adjustable subframe. My hope is to dial out almost all negative camber in the rear end for extended tire life. While it was out I also poly filled the subframe bushings. They were already in tact but I figured a little insurance couldnt hurt in case this ride ever has a new purpose. Attached to the SF is a little something that should pep things up a bit. Blanton 4.10 rear diff courtesy of Todd. Highway gas mileage should be interesting but fun!
My trailing arms are at the machine shop getting new bushings pressed in. They were unable to press the old ones out & will have to be cut out.
This set me back a bit today as I was hoping to have them installed & the car aligned. I'll revisit that tomorrow. Also, it's been raining ALL DAMNED DAY here! Not very conducive for driveway mechanics.
Tomorrow is a new day & I have a ton to accomplish before hitting the road Thursday morning at 0500.

Adjustable subframe install successful! The 4.10 rear end really wakes things up too!

After the trek to TexFest, I ran the math to see how many miles this beast covered. During the course of Thursday - Monday I covered no less than
2000 miles at varying speeds and conditions.

Awesome Progress! I'm interested in what exactly you did to the rear end. I tried to get the KMAC rear caster/camber kit to fit on my car but it only works with early e23 rear subframe

I removed the entire subframe & polyfilled the existing subframe mounts in addition to welding on adjustable camber/caster tabs below. When mocking them up prior to welding, I set them to dial out as much camber as possible & the ability to put in just a tad bit if needed.

Daddy's got a new groove!
I wanted the rear of the car just a tad higher due to the 255/40 r17 tires & for aesthetics.

I suspect it might have been cheaper to just buy new Sports. No?
Hope it works for you.

Good question. It seems sports are NLA. I already had HD that came with the car. $60 for 6 grooves cut. Added 2 more for another 20 just in case.
Car is sitting about perfect for my taste now.

Installed a s2.79 diff last weekend. Might be safe to safe this 7 now has some of the longest legs of any m30 around.
A few rough #'s
1750rpm = 60mph
2600rpm = 100mph

I liked the other thought better about breaking em loose 100mph in 3rd
Tranny no go pop pop yet. I have yet to really pound on it. Thus far everything has been less than top speed runs on extended stretches.

Ya I thought you had a 5spd then I looked back on the thread.
The long gears are worth it. 2nd gear goes over 70.
I notice some jap cars are going through the gears quick and I'm just sipping coffee and shit.
