Sure, no problem. Just go to the dealer and ask for part number 61 61 0 420 024. It's a superseded part number, but that's good because it's fresh.

Got the tint installed on the turn signals and side marker lights today. I used the Synthetic Blinker Fluid I linked in the above post and it made the install very easy.
These now just disappear into the black of the bumper surround and the rub strip instead of screaming red and orange. I know those that rock the piss yellow headlamps and/or fogs won't love this but it does clean up my car a good bit.
Thanks Chris for a well described product, perfect for my use and shipping so quickly at a cheap price.

How in hell did you get that thing off in one piece? I tried removing mine yesterday and it's coming off in pieces. This is really saddening now that I realize there's such a niche market for these.

If you have any left, I'd be interested, but only if you crumple it all up in a big wad first. I like that really vintage/period look where it's all bubbled up. As far as shipping, just stuff it into a paper grocery bag. Probably even cheaper than flat FedEx envelope. I use 3M spray adhesive and just slap it on the glass using my hand. It gives it that enhanced vintage look where you can barely see through it.

This thread is the reason why I refuse to remove the plastic protective wrapping that my TV remote came in. One day it will be a vintage valuable piece.

Chris,
I was disappointed to hear that you sold the tint, is there a chance you still have one of those brick phones on a shelf somewhere? There is a perfect spot on my center console aft the handbrake that is begging for that period-correct piece of bling. If you have one with the cord still intact that would be extra awesome. Thanks for being legit, and let me know!

Chris, I understand you have recently removed that marvelous Golden Vintage tint that was on the golf e12.
Are you hoarding this for yourself or will this be up for sale soon?
I would like first chance at throwing up an offer.

I've been thinking about this for a while and am wondering if the same technique can be used for clear coat? And, if so, will it work if the donor car and recipient are not the same color?
