ROTFL, Hunter that one-word reply is so spot on that I won't even bother to correct your spelling. I thought it was rather obviously a youngster in the picture. Nothing like accidentally insinuating something untoward about a board member's kid sister (or whomever) for a chuckle. :-)Hunter has a Bimmer3 wrote:akward
Excited to see how it comes along, keep us posted! Here is a preview of my seat recovering project. Got the leather kits from Artisan and completed the install (myself) on the passenger seat. Took these photos before removing the driver's seat. I had previously used leatherique on the seat backs, door panels, armrests, console and rear seat bottom.
I also took many photos of the process of removing and replacing the leather. Artisan has very good instructions however they are for manual /non-heated seats. I needed to modify just a bit for my power and heated seats. I was able to transfer the heat elements to the new covers. Which reminds me - I still need to check to see if the heat still works.
The seat heater still worksc_meyers wrote:Excited to see how it comes along, keep us posted!Which reminds me - I still need to check to see if the heat still works.

Removed and stripped the drivers seat yesterday afternoon and have to take it to get the outer seat bottom bolster support re-welded before recovering. I also noticed that the outer seat bottom bolster foam cushion is pretty "tired" and has deteriorated a bit. I need to patch that up too. All the other cushions were in fantastic shape.
Anything is "possible," but do you want to trade your air conditioning for a modicum of extra space? Yes, Euro A/C units that fit there do exist, but they're quite rare.m.olennick wrote:is it possible to convert the US center console to the EU equivalent? I really would love the pocket space!

a mate of mine with one has a slightly darker creme coloured dash, pretty sure its factory. not light brown but sorta, dark creme. ill post a pic if i find one[/code]Were there any e28 dashboards of colors other than black, and what appears to be grey in some of the posted images? The one in the first post looks like it's brown and matches the seats, but all the others appear to be either black or grey.
Wow. I really love that interior, I have an Alpinewhite E28 myself with Pacific blue cloth interior, and have been toying around with the idea to convert it into this (if I can find it, that is). What held me back was the idea it wouldn't look right in a white car....guess I was wrong!BMWgiant wrote:I am a little sour now that I found old pictures of my interior before my brother owned it for the few months he did. I am glad I bought it from him before he destroyed the rest of the car.. These pictures are a little over a year and a half ago..
That's gorgeous. Everybody doubts me when I say how great Cardinal looks when it's newish...They need to see yours.eurowannabe wrote:Here is a newer pic.eurowannabe wrote:Here is the new leather (as of April) from Jim's Auto Upholstery (in SD, CA) in my 535is. Haha, I stared a good 5 minutes at this picture because of the angle your steering wheel center spoke is at; for some reason I thought it was part of your gear shifter which would have a huge angle to it.Jay in VA wrote:Mine is not as pristine clean as your cars. But this one is my daily driver.
