Dunno. I'll let you know when it completes at pass at the dragstrip.

But I drive fast cars every day and this one feels really good.

10psi in a E36 10.5:1 should yeild ~340-360whp.

Depending on how well he has the tune, I would guess higher. Those sound more like 7-8 psi numbers.

It is only a 2.5l engine. Though I'm sure the high CR makes a lot more out of ~30lbs/min, I'd be suprised if it was much over 400hp at the crank at only 10 psi.

I'm aware. I'm just basing the numbers on what I've seen from some other M50s.

That's very optimistic. They only make 175rwhp stock.

Great news Todd.

How is David's tuning working out on it? Email tuning is really not not that easy is it?

Gotta say 10.5:1 CR and boot must be a huge rush!

Very happy that TCD has now created other kits. This will increase the customer base for the m20 and m30 kits just from word of mouth.

I remember there being talk of a 540 kit before and hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg for this company. Most of the members here remember todd and sweeney as DYI.

There are a full tuner shop now.

Respect is due

Congrats todd and sweeney on the good work

I think the product is less important than the relationship. In general, people don't so much comparison shop as much as they think they do. They talk to a few people and when they like what they see, they stop looking and buy.

I agree, but he will be a new company breaking into an established market. TCD will need to break in with product quality or price or both. Once customers start talking good stuff on Bimmerforums and other websites, then he will be in. There will initially be a lot of "under the microscope" scrutiny on those sites by the multiple personalities with multiple agendas to come though.

Will make for some great reading.

There's also the established supacharger competition for the e36 6 cylinders. I wouldn't have purchased my dynan vortech kit seperately with the other options out there, but I do like the torque delivery and the carb sticker.

Customer service is the key

There are 1000's of mechanics in the world. and with that being said I know 2 of my close friends fathers that have made huge amounts of money being one because they were honest and did the work.

They would default with the least costly solution and then work up to the other more $$ one if need be.

They make crazy money just doing repairs.

You get a tuner that is honest and goes beyond the call of duty they dont have to have the most hp. Its good to have a high HP car for marketing purposes. But they get over on the others because of the customer service and honesty
