I have no problem with egos, but being an ass is something totally different. If just a little bit of tact was employed when posting stupid slingfests like this could be avoided. And in case anyone doesn't know what tact is I'll make this real easy and put a link RIGHT HERE. Yea, Duke has got a VERY stong personality that can rub people the wrong way, but I'm sure he has done more good on this board than bad. Has there been anytime that someone asked Duke for help he didn't get it. And Todd is a good guy to talk to over the phone, and probably in person, but sometime when he posts he comes across like a big time jerk. I put up with this BS everyday in the real world, and I'm sure there are others like me that come here for some humor, BMW knowledge and technical insight, and not to see a train wreck. It's pretty weak if you don't realize you need to tone it down, and have to ask for public opinion. Cut down some of the acid tongues, and lets get back to being civil. Damn!!!!!

Oh and Landis, could you please edit that pic. If I wanted to see a dick that big first thing in the morning I would put a magnifying lens above my toilet.

I actually found duke to be pretty friendly and is always up to having a cool debate regarding a subject....I think that he is used to people taking stabs at him...ex

Todd has always been pretty cool in regards to anything that I have to ask him and I have bought products from him with excellent service. I even call to ask him about his current projects and tell him how cool a e39 build will be....


I find them both cool....

Having met both said folks in person, I think we'd all be much safer if they just didn't talk/post to each other.

What is often read as "rampant cock waving and facials", I just automatically reinterpret as "rampant enthusiasm" - cause that's how they'd come across if you were talking to them in person.

I have to agree...since I have now met both of you guys I can strongly say that I do not want to see either of you take a hiatus. I think both of you are an asset to the community.

The problem is that the concept of ego has been vilified to where people now associate someone with very strong opinions as an egomaniac. Someone can be sure of themselves and have strong opinions and NOT be an egomaniac.

We all know that both Duke and Todd are very smart guys with VERY strong opinions on how they each think things should be done. It is also obvious that they rub each other the wrong way. OK fine then.

Just fucking leave each other alone, just don't fucking talk to each other! Easy enough, end of story.
