PS pump a little noisy but otherwise sounds ok. It's very quiet at the tips.

Ran it through the gears and all seems OK. Going to try to get it drivable Friday or Saturday.

I have a tripod. Kodak HD video camera. Harper has a Go Pro we can use.

Changed the oil today. Added coolant and discovered a tiny leak in one of the welds. Will fix that tomorrow. Still on schedule to drive it by Saturday.

I highly doubt I'll be at Vintage. I have a family event that weekend that I must attend. :bawl:

Hope your car does not turn into another "Green Hornet" that is heard of but NEVER seen.

I'll be at TedFest for sure. FYI, I sat in the Green Hornet a few months ago!

Congrats! And sorry I missed you.

I did manage to see Jon Stewart, George Stephanopoulos and Jeff Garlin though. Work obligations, but I can't really complain. :) Truthfully, I would have preferred TCD+LSx Turbo.

e38 fell through, so e32 will get some attention this weekend.

Backed the car out of the garage and up the driveway. Didn't make it on a drive due to some teething problems.

1. Substantial PS fluid leak.
2. No brakes due to no PS
3. Clutch still needs bleeding

Also have the following issues:

1. Need to free air calibrate the o2 sensor
2. Mysteriously lost the cabin lights while tidying up the wiring around the glovebox.
3. Starter slow to turn over even with new fully charged battery. (ground issues likely)

Still, engine sounds awesome!

I am feeling pretty good considering I drove it 80ft.

It has a stock starter than came with the engine. I'll check to make sure I have good grounds contact points.

Positive Battery Terminal??

T_C_D wrote:Worked for a few hours tonight. Ran the battery cable to the fuse box and connected the fuse box and alternator. Also ran power to a distribution block.

Also ran the power cable to the starter, Installed the LC1 and hooked up the reverse lights. At this point I think i am finished underneath the car.

Going to work on it some more this weekend.
Where did you find the Positive Battery Terminal post and the terminal block?

Did you short out the glove box light switch?

Took a picture from up high. This view really let's you see how low and how far back the engine sits.

Pretty much finished with the install. List to trouble shoot before driving.

1..Install new PS pump (ordering today).
2. Resolve coolant leak from thermostat housing.
3. Bleed clutch again.

Have some other minor issues but nothing that keeps me from driving it.
