Then I got the Simons sports exhaust, and I will mount it in the start of next year.

I appreciate your ingenuity, attention to detail and desire to polish up an E28 but I'm sorry,
your car is simply ///M'd out buddy. The two extra Motorsport ribbon tabs on your M-Tech I steering wheel are
ridiculous.
Don't try to throw out some "it's my car and I'll do what I like" bullshit. Sure, you do as you please but it's looking cluttered and distasteful. I'd tone it down a bit and start focusing on more meaningful upgrades. I'd start with a third leg under that dash. You can flip those cheap ass Chinese knock-off pedals on eBay for ~10 under what you paid. Take it or leave it, I don't much care. Just trying to help.

I just call it like I see it. If I'm a dickhead for speaking my mind, so be it.
All of this coming from a guy with a rainbow motor.

Enjoy your build. IMO is looks tacky. If you can't handle peoples opinions don't post your build in online forums. If you can't take the heat...

Nice work, Brent. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate that you came back here to show us what you are up to. Don't listen to Murfinator. I hope he will learn that we can accept all e28s around here. Even, e28s with motors built in the Castro.

Yes, some of your car is not to my taste but I appreciate all of the effort you have put into the car and the fact it is your car and you LIKE it, is all that matters. I'm just happy you're back with us sharing what you've done. Some people cannot understand that. I wouldn't have said anything, but I thought he was being very rude, especially after you asked people not to comment on the ///M stuff.
Good luck! Can't wait to see what you do next.

I'll agree with Kohler's sentiment here. Not everything is to my liking either...
...but then again neither is a million stickers (to other people)... each adding +5 hp!
I never understood why people get so damned wound up here over other people's car. Somehow it seems to ruin their day because someone else's car isn't "how it should be." This forum is about as tough as the black metal music community. Very purist in thought.

Hi Bent,
In regards to replacing the batteries on the SI board.
How hard (or easy) was it to remove the old batteries without damaging anything?
and
Is their any part of this procedure (dash gauge removal) that is not obvious or especially hard?
I ask, as I had once attempted doing exactly this on my old E30 SI board with terrible results. The batteries were tack welded to the metal end plates that attach to the ends of the batteries.
GL switching over to manual.
