I just made a dozen hard boiled eggs. Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to make egg salad sandwiches or if I'm going to order pizza a chicken wings. Ahhhhh.... the tough decisions in life...

I rebuilt/fixed my espresso machine this afternoon. It's a 1978 Turmix TX-10.
Starbucks can pretty much kiss my ass now.

Right now, my Alma-Mater (i know, i know) is getting ready to play Louisiana-Lafayette in the New Orleans Bowl and I have beer.

It works fine, but some of the parts on it are cheap as they come; the plastic lid for the pot is made of some super-brittle crap that breaks if you look at it wrong. I lucked out (kinda) this summer & bought an identical machine at a rummage sale for a buck. It was a little grimy, so when I got it home I went to clean it up; ugh. The fool who owned it before apparently thought it was a good idea to put milk into the water tank, and then left it there. It smelled like rotted cow when I pulled the cap off. It went straight to the trash, but I kept the lid and the glass pot. Score?

So there's a kid named "Celestial" in my daughter's class and that has been confirmed. Now I hear talk of a new boy named "Wine". Well, I'm kinda a curious fellow so I sought out the teacher at the Christmas play and asked about this "Wine". In her thickest southern draw she points to a little Hispanic boy and says: "Whine, . . . rite der"!
Gonna be an interesting year for 'ole Juan.

I couldnt resist the pun/punchline/etc.

Went to the Ewe Pullet yard (yeah, corny name) this afternoon & scored well! Grabbed a pair of taillights, instrument cluster, three-spoke steering wheel, ignition switch, and a very clean set of OE floor mats.

I was pretty amazed; the car was far cleaner than my 528 (even now ) No rust, few dings, fairly recent respray that looked to be done well, clean interior, 115k on the clock, super-clean engine bay (obviously had been cared-for), five-speed, 3.25 LSD, full toolkit with super clean, rust-free tools and a blue rag, intact headliner...





The windshield said it had an "Engine Problem". While I was there an older gent stopped by looking for a head bolt for a friend of his, so he pulled the valve cover off, and found the cause of the problem; one broken rocker arm. A nice looking car like that, junked for something like that. Amazing.

I almost laughed when I climbed into the driver's seat; the parking brake handle was bent several degrees to the left. No cupholder though!

A: No. Vehicles and their title documents have been processed for scrap.

When they're on the yard, the gas tank has been pulled, fluids drained, catalytic converter removed (sawsall) etc. Plus they carry them out on the yard with a forklift; often does terrible things to the underbody. It would take a lot to get even a fresh one back on the road.

While getting back into my car from picking up my dry cleaning I was flagged back out of my car by a dapper older gentlemen getting out of his Porsche. He was eager to rush over and chat me up on how much he loved my car It came at a great time too... it is always this time of year I want to sell whatever project I have and purchase a some type of wagon. I need to get out of this condo and purchase a house! Anyway, that is my story and I thought I would share.

I sent a boatload of presents to Ban Island this morning. On the card I said they were from all of us even though you tight-asses didn't pitch in squat.

Bad santa is on tv right now from 1:55-3:55. I work at 4. Think i can make it to work in 5 minutes?
