It's not the AFM adjustment screw. It's an AFR adjustment screw.

I don't know what other people do, but I have access to a sniffer.

That's an interesting thing to read when looking at a picture of a car that still has the rear seat. And windows.

We flipped it when we got rid of the factory airbox. I do not recall why, but, like so many things, it seemed a good idea at the time.

Why is there blood and guts seeping out of your HVAC system in your garage?

(Guessing that's the high humidity side of the hvac and whoever assembled the pipe run sleaved the pipes backwards allowing condensation to leak out.)

Kudos on the new mirror glass NYC, its almost distracting how clear of an image brand new glass can produce. You'll love it.

This weekend will involve reinstalling the euro front bumper, hoping to get it truly squared up. On hand is a 'mounting parts set' (51 11 9 056 461) and a repaired front license plate holder which had been cracked at one of its end mounting points.
The smaller right-side portion of the bumper looked like it was drooping slightly, and after messing with it for awhile it doesn't look like its adjustable per se. So a BFH will be on hand to reshape the curve.

If that all goes well, I'll re+re the rear bumper and put the new mounting parts set (51 12 9 056 462) into it as well.

Over the non-winter, I re-erected the 12 x 24 storage tent. The cover was in tough shape, so I put a pair of heavy duty green tarps over it'. Much old rope and clothesline was consumed in the process. The ends are just blue tarps . I used about 20 flattened shipping cartons as a pad and then covered those with 3 old area rugs . I built a freaken yurt. Yesterday I started up the last super eta and backed it in. Front brakes are seized. The LF spring perch is holed and the struts are shot. The body is a rusty mess. The blower motor is seized. The list goes on. It has been a lawn ornament for six months, keeping Fred and Ginger , the flamingos company. I put the weak but freshly charged battery in and it started like I drove it every day, I'm seriously considering letting them go, all 4 of them, maybe for a Lemons team or something . Then I can devote my flagging energy to Aaron's 533i which was mostly a Bay Area car until Joel imported it to CT then to Salem MA. Its a great old bomber that needs rear springs/ sub frame bushings. Except for needing valve seals badly the engine is fine. Aaron and I both agree that putting a 3.46 LSD diff made the old bus peppier and more willing to climb a hill without downshifting . Its 33 yrs old this yr.

Removed the entire front drive-train and suspension out of the M535i today:

Dropped the whole Kit-n-Kaboodle out the bottom with multiple floor jacks and two pairs of hands and backs (could have used a third set of hands. And back).

Next up: tear down for resealing, cleaning and some fresh parts.

I spent an entire day trying to get 3/15 hose onto a 1/4 T piece until I realized that they weren't the same size. Is it time for glasses already?

Partially disassembled the driver's side black leather power "comfort seat" and managed to stuff some foam in there. Now the seat isn't a literal pain in the butt!

A couple of days ago, I adjusted the hood latch, and removed the gawdawful tape pinstripe on the passenger side replacement fender. Much better!

I took apart my doors this winter and finally repainted the shadowline with SEM. It had marks and touch up paint. Also had torn up window guide rubber, so put new ones in too. Those 2 items were bugging me and detracted from an otherwise stellar car. I got it all back together today. I had swapped cardinal seats for black last year and now added black doorcards. Now the car is all white and black. I need to order some black handle trim.

I also made room in the garage for the wagon. Another project to get atarted on this year...

Replaced fuel pressure regulator. Idle seemed to have smoothed out somewhat. Did a quick road test, I didn't feel the stumbling at 2k rpm that was there before. I still need to send the injectors off to be serviced, at 262k they look to be original!

I'm not really crazy about white cars, but white/black is a good look, a very good combo. That's what mine was, although without the shadowline.

Polished up the original front indicator lenses and put them back on the car, replacing the clear lenses. The left side is wet sanded and polished, right side is washed only. Check out the reflection of the bulb, some pitting remains but they cleaned up quite well.
