I already have the same upgrades except the HC pistons and the War chip. i'm def gonna put the car on the dyno before the snow hits. i had Mario L do the work because I don't have the tools at home nor the know how, I'd love to learn though. Thanks for posting this thread. I wondered how much power I could get with these upgrades. I'm a true fan of naturally aspirated motors!

If you do get to the dyno please post your results so we can get an idea of what the HC pistons are doing.

Its nice to see what your car made at the dyno, very nice!

Damn that is one screaming beast you got there Gary! Now I can never ride in or drive it since it has more than 2X more HP than my shitty "super" eta.

I'm sure you have heard it 1000 times already, but I don't dig the black wheels.

Sure you can drive it. I'm not that picky. Heck my wifes drives
it every now and then.

Actually I've only had a few complaints about the wheels.
Guess people don't want to insult a sexagenarian.
Remember this is an all black car so I wanted to try the stealth all black look. I'm not sure about it either but will kept them for a while.
I really wanted the BBS RS-GT with the black centers but they are like $700 each, and don't come in 17" with the black centers.
I kept the throwing stars so I can always go back to them.

I've been hanging in there. Still got my slow ass car. Want to help me swap a front sub frame & put in two new engine mounts?

I'm glad to see your car is coming along. I meant that after driving and/or riding in your M5, I would hate my car even more because it is so slow. Especially right now. I am having some kind of fuel related issue (thinking clogged filter or possible loss of 3 yr old intank pump) but haven't had time or $$ to address it. I just fixed my center bearing (for the 2nd time) & replaced my transmission mounts only to end up with fuel issues. Sometimes these old cars try more patience than I have.

It's also time to do the center bearing on my fiancee's '98 328. She just rolled over 140K miles. I have the bearing, I'm just lazy.

Even better than last year. Probably because it was tuned properly on the dyno.

How is it running?

Wanted to post contact info for my dyno tuner.

His name is Ed Senf EMS, Inc. and he lives here in metro Atlanta.
He is a Georgia Tech Engineering school graduate and has been tuning for 18+ years.
There was a story about him and dyno tuning in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine a while back.
The two main teams he tuned professionally this year won their respective championships.
Rum Bum Racing GS division of the Grand Am Series and
Fall Line Racing in Chicago.
Ed tunes other makes beside BMW.

Ed travels around the country so if you interested just send him an email and see what you can work out.
Please don't bug him with questions about your tune as I know he is to busy for that and he simply won't answer.

Updated some info on first page.

Took the guys at United BMW in Alpharetta GA for a ride.
Four men in the car and it still chirped the tire into second.
They all had big grins on their faces when they got out.

Hey Mark, did you ever get that MM stroker on the dyno? As you know, there are some who question the hp claims they make. It would be great to see a real world result.

It's amazing what you can find here - an absolute wealth of information even for guys like me that have no idea what they are doing. That was super educational as I think about refreshing or upgrading my motor. Thanks!
