Re: Noob to M30's
I looked into after market aluminum ones and decided "if it ain't broke don't fix it" with that being said the 2.5 radiator is going back in, no M20 expansion tank or E28 radiator.
Everything lined up, now onto cleaning, sanding, priming and ready for paint while I wait for the bumper to arrive.
Stock hood latch back in place.
Also decided to move the turbo inlet into the head light. Might add some more horsepowers.

Just got finished reading you're thread. I'm not a fan of drag racing but love the fact of a junk yard motor putting this kind of power

Not just the power, but the amount of abuse it has taken.ericmike wrote:Just got finished reading you're thread. I'm not a fan of drag racing but love the fact of a junk yard motor putting this kind of power

Re: Noob to M30's
Was that front end work just for weight reduction?

Weight reduction and freshen the look of it. It's complete now and ready for the track, goal for this year is to run a 9 sec pass.Shadow wrote:Was that front end work just for weight reduction?
Finally added a gas pedal.
Switched out the 4" steel exhaust to aluminun.
Here's a one min walk around vid at idle with the old exhaust.

Long time buddy, hope all is well. The HX40 was swapped out a few years ago to a larger BW unit. Engine is still the same though
Re: Noob to M30's
I love this build, just goes to show what doesn't need to be done to make a car go fast.
Amazed at the durability of the M30, E85 is magic stuff

Re: Noob to M30's
G&T have you thought about reproducing your intake manifold for sale?

He was asking for an intake manifold, not turbo manifold.

What's stopping you from going to 30psi?
That's some good self control.

With some more seat time it's possible, haven't been to the track in a year.M. Holtmeier wrote:C'mon 9s!

Re: Noob to M30's
How big is your intercooler, Otis? I finally made it that stage of my project and need ideas.
Re: Noob to M30's
May painting the intercooler black would get you under 10's

Oh yeah!
I live a little closer to you now, Otis. I've got your twin scroll running really well on my e28 now.
