Sort of begs the question: If it "needs nothing", why should it need more time as a "project car"?

Holy carp; who buys a plain-jane Dodge pickup like that, drives it 5,000 miles, then parks it in a barn? :dunno: That's just nutty.

I had a feeling from the pictures that the owner had a 'look at me I'm better than everyone else' complex and that just goes to prove it. Cool car but I'd personally steer clear of it since its apparent that it has been driven hard.

I saw that too. That car doesn't do anything for me. First of all, its not one of the larger engines available that year. In fact its the smallest that they started with. Second, its an auto. Ugh. Third its 4wd which, IMO, just adds excess weight to the car as it should just be RWD. Fourth, where are the sport seats? Anyway there are a lot of Alpinas I would like but this is not one of them.

That's a cool combination of options. I drove Chris Jones' 525ixT (with a stickshift) when he imported it. It came in through Port of Newark, Imelda and I had a visit with him, then he drove off to Alaska, which is where an e34ixT belongs!

Anyway, even with the extra weight and drag of the front wheels driven, the car was fun. The 5 speed made it a lot more spunky than my 525iTa (I know, not saying much!) It's too bad this one's a slushie....

Beautiful but just ridiculous.
It is available near Altoona, Pennsylvania for $49,900.
What does a new M3 cost - $60k and a new 1M - $45k (MSRP).

1990 BMW 325i E30 (turbo, roll cage, etc.) - $5999 (Overland Park)

Date: 2012-01-26, 12:42PM CST
Reply to: sale-ew4an-2819365402@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I'm selling a 1990 325i coupe that's been extensively modified. It no longer runs the factory cluster, so miles are no longer recorded. The motor has approximately 108,000 miles and was a stock drop in replacement for the original motor that spun a bearing in an SCCA race in 2006 (I still have the original motor as a spare)

All lights and signals work, along with the windshield wipers and passenger window (driver side removed for roll bars, but I have a lexan panel)

I purchased the car with the suspension and brakes already installed... so I'm unsure of the specifications.

Here are the specs of the turbo setup:

- TCD T04e turbo (46trim, .58a/r)
- TCD Exhaust Manifold
- TCD 3" Downpipe
- Custom fabricated 3" oval exhaust (for max ground clearance)
- Custom external wastegate dump
- Custom intercooler setup using a Bar & Plate Intercooler w/ 2.5" aluminum pipe and T-Bolt Clamps (provisions for BOV and IAT welded in)
- Custom aluminum intake w/ K&N filter
- TiAL 38mm Wastegate
- TiAL 50mm BOV
- MegaSquirt Plug & Play ECU with GM IAT and Variable TPS
- 30lb/hr Injectors
- SS oil feed line with tapped oil filter housing bolt
- Oil drain hardware and hose / tapped oil pan
- Modified motor mount to fit TCD turbo inlet placement
- new turbo blanket (not installed yet)
- new Walbro In-Tank Fuel Pump (not installed yet)
- Innovate LC-1 with 'DB' A/F Gauge
- Stewart Warner 2-5/8" 30inHg-15psi Boost Gauge
- 6 puck sprung disk w/ resurfaced flywheel

I may have forgotten some stuff too... but that's most of it.

The car hasn't been dyno'd and has been given a street tune. If dyno numbers are important, I can try to arrange some dyno time when my schedule permits.

The car doesn't run A/C or power steering due to the current position of the intercooler pipes. I have spare pipes if you want to adjust the routing to add these back in.

I also have an entire basement of spare parts... motors, transmissions, differentials, NA header/exhaust system, M3 steering rack w/ adapter, wheels/tires, all kinds of trim and buttons and stuff... I could go on and on... if you buy the car, I'll cut you a hell of a deal on all the spare parts I have.

As with all projects, I've put way more into this car than I'll ever get out of it, so my asking price of $5,999 is firm given the excellent cage work, the well laid out interior, quality turbo components, and exterior/paint condition of the car.

Up for sale is my E28 BMW 535 IS with 215,000 miles. I have owned this car for two years and it has been my daily driven vehicle. It is a three owner very well maintained car with factory paint on every panel aside from the drivers front and rear door (which has been professionally refinished). I have installed oem BMW wheels from an E38 with new Kumho tires (225-50-16), along with rebuilding the entire front suspension and steering, drive shaft, stainless steel exhaust, shift linkage, oem BMW floor mats, Alpine CD player and I'm sure there are some things I'm forgetting. I have most receipts of what I have replaced. If you have any questions please call or email. Thanks Nick

Immaculate silver 2001 BMW M5. I bought this car out of Phoenix AZ Labor Day weekend of 2009, after spending over a year searching for the perfect M5. The car had 36,000 miles on it at the time. I flew out from Ohio, picked up the car, did some local site seeing, and drove it back home. Trip home was about 3,000 miles. Since Sept of '09 I've put 900 miles on it, so now it has a tick less than 40,000 (might be over a hair by the time the ad runs). It basically sits covered up in my heated warehouse.

These E39 M5's are arguably the finest high performance sedan ever built, and in my opinion, they're better looking than the new ones. As much as I love the car, I just don't use it, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to leave it sit around. In my opinion the '01-'03's are more desirable than the 2000's because they have the bigger NAV screen and nicer steering wheel. There are only a few options not standard on these cars; probably the most sought after being the gorgeous 2 tone interior, which this car has. It also has the pass through fold down rear seats. It does not have the back-up sensors.

The interior is pristine and still smells new. To my knowledge, and a detailed inspection, the vast amount of the paint appears to be original and in very nice condition. The car is 11 years old so please bear in mind a few tiny blemishes may be found, but overall the paint is very, very nice, and I think a discriminating buyer would be pleased. The car runs and drives like new. It just had the oil changed with the proper synthetic oil, along with a complete inspection, and everything is in proper working order. These cars are notorious for having the pixels in the digital readout of the dash cluster go out, and this car was no exception, so I sent the cluster to VDO repair in California for update and repair. It's also had the blower fan module replaced, which is another common issue with these cars. This car is bone stock with three minor exceptions. I added a red pinstripe with stripe tape, so it could be removed if desired, I painted the brake calipers red with high temp caliper paint, and the car has lightly tinted glass (a must for Arizona). Other than that, it's just the way it came off the assembly line.

Please bear in mind this is an 11 year old car, and it's not a trailer queen show car, but if you're looking for a pristine E39 M5, I can't imagine you could find one much nicer.

$24,900
