Mr. Twisty for the opportunity.
Thanks for starting the "official" RTT12 thread and getting the ball rolling.

I've been chasing that issue for more than 2 years. Very frustrating. I think it has to be the fuel pump because that is the only thing I haven't replaced.rmiddendorf wrote: Also on the way home from 5erFest half a mile from my house Bandit stalled out for no apparent reason. I pulled into the UDF and re-started him fine. So I have no idea what the problem was but my guess is that is was electrical based on how the engine immediately stopped. But I want more spares and more local driving time to see if this is replicated.
I don't know... I seem to remember an awful lot of passing on a double yellow by those two.Mab1957 wrote:I share your anxiety! Friend of mine's 535is had this problem. He seems to have cured it with another ECU.rmiddendorf wrote: Add a spare ECU (unknown number at this time) to my spare parts assortment**

The problem is, at least with my issue, you'll only know if the problem is fix if it never happens again...so you'll never really know. There are no real reproducible circumstances to ensure the fix has been accomplished.Greg E34 wrote: Friend of mine's 535is had this problem. He seems to have cured it with another ECU.

They posted a pic of RTT11 participants on the home page. And, Twisty is working on a little "joint" event between the RTT12 drivers and riders from Back of the Dragon.
My mistake, the RTT11 pic is under riders pictures instead of the home page:KillerPM wrote:Where is that? I cant find it.Mark in Toronto wrote:Check out the Back of the Dragon website at:

I just spoke with the Dragon master. He is going to make sure we are well taken care of. We will have lunch and get some good fuel there. They have non ethanol high test... like 100 octane...KillerPM wrote:HAH! Yeh, that is great shot, and no worries Sherman, I didn't make it to that shot either but I cheers to the rest of the guys. I believe the Gent (local) that was talking to the guys in that area invited us to a BBQ this year among with other car club.1st 5er wrote:Bummer that the E12 and other ///M5 didn't make it in that shot.
But we did meet the Dragon Master a bit later.
Something like this would make a fun leg.KillerPM wrote:We will try to avoid this situation this year...
I recommend a stay at Hungry Mother State Park (start of the BotD). My whole family (mom's side) stayed there for a week every year until I was 22.adrian in florida wrote:I just spoke with the Dragon master. He is going to make sure we are well taken care of.
