Accepted! Looks like I'll be able to go for a day or two.

But I want more spares and more local driving time to see if this is replicated.
I've been chasing that issue for more than 2 years. Very frustrating. I think it has to be the fuel pump because that is the only thing I haven't replaced.

I share your anxiety!
Given your the impeccable behaviour of you, your co-pilot/navigator and your M5 during the 2011 event you're odds of receiving a high score and admittance from the review board must be quite good! Others who may have attracted the attention of the WV State Police are certainly on edge.
I don't know... I seem to remember an awful lot of passing on a double yellow by those two.

Friend of mine's 535is had this problem. He seems to have cured it with another ECU.

Let me know if you folks want me to rebuild a couple of ECUs while I am around at the vintage.
It only takes me a few minutes and its good piece of mind (at least if its the cold solder joint issue on 059s or any other E28 based ECU)...

The problem is, at least with my issue, you'll only know if the problem is fix if it never happens again...so you'll never really know. There are no real reproducible circumstances to ensure the fix has been accomplished.

I remember that... Cousin Billy was driving but I got him to go up there. I thought that only matt was following us. I couldnt believe you guys kept going.
I just remembered the year before when we crossed over that gravel road on the mountain and were rewarded with some spectacular driving.
Hey, ya never know what your gonna find out on the road. Im pretty sure we have driven close by some true moonshine stills.

I think the offroad/gravel section is becoming tradition. One every year so far.

Or,
124 days can be converted to one of these units:
10,713,600 seconds
178,560 minutes
2976 hours
17 weeks (rounded down)
Winky, winky.....

Check out the Back of the Dragon website at:

They posted a pic of RTT11 participants on the home page. And, Twisty is working on a little "joint" event between the RTT12 drivers and riders from Back of the Dragon.

Bummer that the E12 and other ///M5 didn't make it in that shot.
But we did meet the Dragon Master a bit later.

I just spoke with the Dragon master. He is going to make sure we are well taken care of. We will have lunch and get some good fuel there. They have non ethanol high test... like 100 octane...

Yeh, that is great shot, and no worries Sherman, I didn't make it to that shot either but I cheers to the rest of the guys. I believe the Gent (local) that was talking to the guys in that area invited us to a BBQ this year among with other car club.

There will be non of this for me at the Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino on Day 2 of RTT12.
Instead, I'll be heading straight to the Blackjack table!
I've been practicing online and should be a pro by the time May rolls around.

I recommend a stay at Hungry Mother State Park (start of the BotD). My whole family (mom's side) stayed there for a week every year until I was 22.
Edit: I just found this:
RTT on a cadillac forum.

Good find Tyler!
Here are some quotes from the RTT11 post on the Cadillac Owners forum:
"Two comments I liked in that video, first about the e12/e28 "slowing" the group down with a breakdown - but it'll get you where you need to go. I can attest to that first hand. It's pretty easy to patch these old tanks up road side and limp it back. Then one guys comment about his car not looking pretty but he went there to drive it, what it was made for. That's how I feel about mine. Sometimes I get bummed that it isn't a "presentable" e28, but at this age and miles - the fact I daily drive it alone means something. The mismatched hood and minor body damage here and there gives it a personality. The metal is still protected from rusting away and underneath the worn out looking exterior, it has a nice and comfortable interior, solid underbody and is quite the fun drive. Truth is, if the car was in "nice" looking shape, I'd probably be super paranoid about it - and I don't want that."
"Now THERE are some REAL BMWs!"
"Sweet! Always liked the old BMW's."
