Sounds like just the stuff for my Adirondack weekend with my brothers that will start Tuesday after work..I love single malts. Irish is good too. I am still working my way through a handle of rum .It is perfect in a cup of black coffee. And goes wicked good with fruit juice . At last we can get Yeungleng in MA .

Just finished venison breakfast sausage and the SO is doing Turkey sausage, chorizo, and brautwurst.

I harvested the blacktail this last season, a nice 4 point/8 point depending on how you count. The pork came from the last of six pigs we raised along with the turkey from the gals here helping her.......I love eating breakfast for dinner.

Yuengling is so good-too bad we can't get it in California. When I visit my girlfriend's family in Philly it's all I drink. Good stuff froma great beer town!

Pisco Sours. They were drinking them in Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown Peru episode and someone thought it would 'fun' to try them. Sitting in traffic on the way back from BevMo, I thought, 'wow this IS fun'. On top of it all, they taste like mierda. And what's up with Langoustine Bitters? A small bottle was like $9.00.
*sigh* the things I do for domestic harmony...

Hot sake earlier, a few shots of 1800 just now, and im going in search of a cold Red Stripe. Throw this in on top of a bunch of sushi and kimchee tonight, I just know my stomach will file for divorce. Don't try this at home.

It sounds like cheap booze, but I have to say the Irreverente red box wine is great stuff.

Four bottles out of a box? Sign me up. "Babe, can I pour you another glass? I can just open up the spigot here...."

Yesterday was my birthday . I got the hoses dry at the couplings on the reels. I raked oak leaves out of the hostas and set up the irrigation for the beds. Marina was out on the upstairs deck . I asked her to call Haddad's and order out. Send Eliot to pick up . I am soaking wet, El takes off to pick up, I change shirts and head off to get more Yeungleung, a jug of CA mer-lott and some smokes for Marina. B6II is behaving perfectly despite flunking the safety inspection for a loose idler arm. Fried squid and haddock. Coleslaw and onion rings. Cold beer Happy birthday to me.!

Happy belated Birthday, ole man.

Had a summer shandy at dinner. Went well with my beer brats that turned out oh so swell for my first real go at it.

How much beer would a consumer have to consume before an impact from genetically modified grain impacted her? Going to have cirrhosis first. Seems a way to steer the 'greenies' to support craft brews. I like a Pabst, the blue ribbon winner.

Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon, neat, with two cubes

Tonight I had a pint of Weihenstephaner Korbinian. It was only $3 at the local grocer/liquor/beer store, and all I can say is I'm glad I don't have to drive anywhere. Whoof. Decently tasty, and not terribly heavy.

From my perspective, I'm not as sophisticated a beer drinker as you. I like Yeungling because it's relatively local and easy drinking, its like a Budweiser but doesn't make you feel as if you should be watching a NASCAR race while you're drinking it.

Had a little booster club party at our house last night. Booster club donated a slushy machine to the school a few years back (these things cost $2500!). We used it for margaritas.

Ha! I think that's the first time I've ever been called a "sophisticated... beer drinker"; not sure if I should take that as a compliment or a jab (especially when it was probably the beer talking anyway. )
