What is the "Hydro Booster" (con't)

Thanks for the advice,

The inside of the booster is extremely clean (looks new in fact), so I'll check for sand grains or stuff I may have brought in.

As for the pressure accumulator, it goes for 165 € (here in France) and is sold 74 $ at pellican parts, the problem is that they will not ship because it is hazardous material :(

Tried AutoHausAZ.com?

They had mine for $83 and will ship.

DIY Booster re-build with 5 - o-rings and a new shaft seal

For 533, 535, M535, M5. A DIY Brake servo booster re-build with 5 - o-rings and a new shaft seal. The link includes a step by step procedure to do the repair yourself.

I just updated this post DIY, I have added a new shaft seal and a how to replace the seal.

Read the captions at the right side of each photo.

This repair needs to have the booster removed from the car.

Tools needed: Dremal, vise, bench grinder, battery drill motor with reverse, 1-1/8 inch deep socket, 13mm 1/4 in drive socket with an extension into the drill motor, blade screw driver, 10mm drill bit or 3/8 inch metal drill bit, electric drill motor with 3/8 chuck.

I purchased one of Jay's kits. With a little patence I was able to rebuild the booster. Jay's pictures and words are spot on. He's also a great guy with fantastic service.
