Anyone have a flex-plate for a M30 B34 that can bring it up on the 16th?

Instead of pulling the tranny, how about a motronic 1.3 swap! Then you dont have to pull the tranny!

How hard, easier than pulling it out without a lift? How much would it cost/What would I need?


Wait? Wouldn't I have to change the front harmonic balancer/Pully.. How would it get the reference?

you need the harmonic balancer, crank position sensor, crank position sensor bracket (it bolts right on), b35 ECU, super eta wiring harness, and o2 sensor.
You can change the starter to the b35 one but its not necessary, and it will run fine without the ignition wires but you should use the b35 ones since it has the inductive pickup which 1.3 uses.
I never checked by i just used the super eta temp and sender sensors on the tstat,.

Everything is done from the top, just putting the harness on and everything would take a couple of hours, 11 wires need to be extended, and if you dont use the b35 starter you just snip the connector going to the switch on the starter and put a spade terminal.
Its super easy.

from the yard, the harnesses are like 45 now the balancer is like 24, wires about 8, and thats pretty much it.

You get an engine check light, it just runs so much better as well. Might be worth it over pulling the tranny, on a scale of 1-10 maybe a 2. Then you can be in the 1.3 club when you are done like the rest of us

Flexplate as in flywheel/ring gear for a 4HP22? I think I've got one. Let me know as it might take a while to find it. Also shoot me a PM on directions/address.

Yea, im not too good at planing a drive or I would have done it this time. Maybe next time a few of us can get together & plan a cool drive through mt. hamilton & some other canyons..

Im hoping I will have enough food/chairs.. If anyone is bringing food, drinks, or snacks then let me know so its not all the same shit. I will most likely have a tri-tip or two, some burgers, maybe ribs. I think ryan is bringin come steaks. Just a few months shy of 21 so no beer buying for me, if needed ill have family pick it up for me.. But im sure there will be plenty of that brought

We usually chip in a 20 spot, bring bevs, and maybe some grillins'. I can bring a couple of fold up chairs.
I/we usually get a porta poty, or if you don't mind 20 or more guys peeing in your house it's cool.
I've had 4 WF's and my wife says's it's all good-but no body's using are bathroom. I use Johnny On The Spot: It's about 100.00 delivered and picked up. Well worth it. I also provide a couple ice chests with ice and the grill,and get some chips, dip, misc.
After you have 15 guys @ 20.00 it pays for it.
Looking forward to it.

Well about the bathroom, I have my own bathroom connected to my room so that's all good. I have a big gas grill and a big & mini webber and prob enough coal/fluid. Ice chests are taken care of as well. Chairs I may need more of. If I do end up needing to charge it will only be like $5-10 if anything, not looking to make money at all but helping with funds would be nice, Or just bring some stuff..

Nobody has told me of anything they want to do, I read something about suspension & a guibo... I know on my 6er I need the watter pump removed & possibly the head..

There is only 3 or 4 cement spots to wrench (You seen the area), but there is a big lawn/field on my landlords propety past the gate she said we can use as parking n stuff, so if nobody minds the grass work can be done there too..

What about an upper/lower control arm and tie rod replacement? My parts will be coming in Tuesday and I desperately need to get it done. Anyone game at the WF for this? I've never done it and would definitely like to have plenty of experienced people around.

Id like to help out with that because i need to do my tie rods soon

That stuff is easy Duggi, all you need is a hammer to knock out the joint from the knuckle, make sure they have bushings in already otherwise you need a press!

I will bring my torch just in case those ends don't want to come out of the steering knuckle...and a 3lb hammer....'the Persuader'.

Simple job, and you really want ramps to tighten/torque the UCA/LCA nuts after they are on the car, because they have to be done when the suspension is loaded. So if you want to do that work, BRING YOUR RAMPS!
