Stock plugs are fine for low boost. Go colder above 8-10 psi.

Thanks dudes.
I hope to have her running this week.
Then tuning.

I still have to install the intercooler plumbing, chip, intank fuel pump and 2.93lsd, or should I go with a 3.46lsd?????
I have both.....

There are a few small things to do but they are minor and won't interfere with at least getting the beast running.

I'd go with the 3.46 LSD if it was my choice to make. The build looks good, I want video when it's done.

The 2.93 spaces the gears a bit far apart IMO. I like the 3.25 better. The 3.46 may be too short, but thats a matter of preference. I like having long legs under there.

Thanks.
I was thinking of the 3.46 but I like being on the highway cruising at 80mph at 2500rpms with the 2.93
I'd still only be at around 3000rpms at 80mph with the 3.46
Stool up will be fast as well with the 3.46 right??
Maybe I'll give it a whirl.......

Intercooler plumbing has been ordered.
Off to the exhaust shop Wednesday I hope.
First start may be Wednesday.

I plan on doing a first start video. I hope all goes well.......

I'm happy with the s3.25 that is in my car now. The 3.73 that was in the car when it was NA and later turbo, was way to short. I promptly changed it out. Not only was it busy on the freeway, it would wheelspin even worse than it does now. I just couldn't bring myself to go down to a 2.93.

I got am early start today so I had to set up some extra shade to keep the sun from killing me.

Image

Its almost complete. I have to do the intank pump, lsd diff, wire the intercooler fan and the auxillary fan, chip the ecu, and have the exhaust made.
As it stand I should be able to start the old girl on tuesday.

Image

Heres the intercooler in the place were the battery used to live.
I've mount a 10" fan on it which I hope will do me some good.
It pushes 1600cfm.
It will be controlled by a switch I've mounted on the blank next to the fog light switch.

Damn you work quick! I love the intercooler setup, interested to see how it does... I have a liquid/air set up that might be just the ticket for that spot.

Wow that is a lot of intake pipe.

Why not do a reversed intake again?

Its been hurry up and wait for parts or this thing would have been done.
The intercooler plumbing was not supposed to be here til Tuesday.
I checked the status on fedex to see were it was and it said delivered. And there it was at the front door.
So I knocked that out today.

Yeah I know. I've seen that on a car or two and thought about it but it would have been just more ish to fab up.
I want this thing done.
At this point the intake is on and its staying on.

I'll just have to wait a little longer for the boost to build.

is there any secret to swapping throttle body sides of the intake? I have an extra plenum and have been thinking about it- just cut hole below top of intake and tap it for throttle body- then seal up the other side?
any special receipe?

Imagine a 2.56:1. Wonder what that will be like. Of course, the car also has a dogleg, which is probably why it has a 2.56.

You really need a better location or modification for that intercooler. Box it in and cut the bottom of the battery box out. Mount the fan on the back side to remove the air obstruction and have it pull air.

It will be of little help the way it is now.

You also need to address the hot-air intake you have. Make a box for it. Move it just behind the light.

The bottom of the battery tray is cut out.
There is actually more space behind the intercooler than it looks.
I figured as long as there was air moving across it, it would be ok.
I am also going to put a scoop on the bottom of the valance to funnel fresh air up toward the intercooler.
The cover that sits behind the headlights has also been removed for better airflow.

You can also cut metal out of the headlight bucket (section between the two lights) to get more air through.

I would try to move the fan to the back side. The fan motor is a big air dead space right now.

Looking good, dude! The air filter should have plenty of space behind the passenger side headlights...move it there with something....anything.

You are right about that dead space.
I didn't think about that.
I will move it to the back side once I get it tuned.
Thanks.........

Yeah, thats not quite finish yet. I plan on tucking it right up behind the headlights and maybe boxing it in.
Thanks.
I'll take all the input you guys can throw my way.

Overall the install looks good. There are some very good suggestions above, and it seems like you are actually listening to the advice given. I agree that boxing in the air filter is a must. Also, some ducting to the IC and moving the fan to a puller behind the core(almost all fans work more efficiently as a puller). I'm sure you are excited to finally get to drive the thing. The next step to take the car to the "next level" will be some large injectors and some type of programmable engine management like Megasquirt.

Well I'm running 30lbs injectors as specified by Todd at TCD to go along with his turbo chip and a begi 2025.
I'm just trying to get this thing roling.
But I'm sure I will, as others have, want more, but this will have to do for now.
As it stands I wont get the car back until tomorrow.
Ducting to the IC and moving the fan will happen either tomorrow or Thurdays.
I may end up at the machine shop Thursday afternoon to have a box made for the air filter.
Then I just want to drive it for a while..........

I can completely understand that. You need that time to figure out
a) what you need to re-do/fix
b)decide that you want more power
It's a vicious cycle. Enjoy.

It was hard work getting to were I am now, so a little fun is in order before I go to the next level.
