Here's one I wouldn't expect, but am very glad for just the same... I just finalized a cash transaction with a guy for a set of wheels and tires for my daughter's 318Ti, and accidentally overpaid by $100. The seller called me back a half-hour after we parted, told me what he had found when he counted the cash, and drove back to bring the money to me.

Our agreed-upon price was $250. I had some cash at home from a couple of other recent sales I had made -- two $100s and a small stack of $20s -- so I grabbed the $100s and two $20s this morning, not bothering to count because I knew (or thought I knew) there were only two $100s there. I guess there were three. We arranged to meet at a truck stop near where I work to make the exchange; it was really windy, so counting the bills was difficult with trying to keep them from blowing away. Apparently missed that a couple of them were clinging to each other. My assumption that there were only two didn't help (need to talk with my wife about where that third bill came from.)

The young gentleman I dealt with was driving an Alpine White e36 & sporting a BMWCCA t-shirt. He goes to school with and is buddies with another mye28 guy I know from Sioux Falls. As a college student, I'm sure he could've put that extra $100 to good use, and most would've pocketed that extra bill without a thought. But it's awesome to see honesty like that on display. Almost enough to bring a tear to the eye.

And yes, he got a reward for that, if for nothing else but to cover the fuel he burned getting the cash back to me.

Sounds like there might be some real hope out there after all.

Yesterday I broke down and bought an el-cheapo corded 1/2" impact driver to help with my rear subframe project... Why the &*^( didn't I do that years ago?!?! That thing was so stinkin' slick for getting the 32 allen bolts out of the rear axles I could hardly believe it. Knocked them loose with the driveshaft on the floor under the car and the rear brakes totally off. And the big nasty bolts holding the trailing arms on, and the big nasty bolts holding the rear dogbones in place... No more busted knuckles (well, fewer anyway) and no more cheater bars.

Never ever ever again will I work on a car without an impact driver. Never.
And I already told my wife that she can get me a cordless one for my birthday. It would even count as my Christmas present and anniversary gift.

Only because I’m an idiot. Tomorrow is my off Friday so all I had to do was burn one vacation day to get a five dayer off but I waited too long so I’m stuck here with the other stupid people.

Every time I saw that all I could think of was that shot I captured of Peter. If you know who Peter is here on the board and search, you might get lucky and find the pic.

If you've ever worked outside in the South you know what can develop after many days of being hot-n-wet. I combat "swamp-ass" by wearing some holy khakis (dress-code at the hacienda) and no boxers when I get home.
To make a long story short, I've caught my Johnson tip in the zipper twice this week and my Helmet is beginning to look like a chewed up puppy Pit-Bull's ear.
