It was a privilege to meet Paul and see this "Phoenix M5" at V@V! The fact that this car is on the road now is just amazing to me. Can't wait to see the continuing "rising from the ashes" transformation of this car.

Like a phoenix rising from Arizona!

It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you in person for the shift boot.

Great meeting everyone else even though I may have forgotten your names due to sleep deprivation! I even forgot when I was talking to Leonard Love even though we drove down in a group together

Thanks, Duke. The kudos mean a lot coming from someone that owned a fantastic M535i and an admittedly pretty OK Tiger.

Andrew, you'll have to wait to take a spin in the car. Too many issues right now.

Hell, I barely made it home as it was! With the spare tire and the lack of really good UCABs (mine were in the trunk because I ran out of time to install them) I wouldn't have dreamed of driving tons of technical roads. Wifey says we can next year if we have AC.

Great meeting you, Sherman, and hope to see you there next year and glad you had fun on the twisties, even with all that junk in the trunk.

Got a some tires mounted to replace the blowout thanks to Aaron. Pulled and polished the pulleys for the water pump, PS, and crank to prevent premature belt wear. Rusty pulleys eat up belts, so if your car has been sitting for, say 7 years, you should polish your pulleys.

I finally got a chance to install my very own set of Infinite UCABs and take the car for a drive.

I love them! I like them on my wagon, but I cannot live without them on my my M5. No braking shake, and the steering is so direct!

Scene : Garage

The main character is laying under his car busily working away.

"She" enters, stands at door to house, hands on hips, rolls her eyes wearily.

She: It's 11:30 pm I'm tired and ready for bed. What are you doing?

He: Yeah, I'll be done in a few minutes.

She: (after s short pause, in a demanding tone) What are you doing?

He: Just polishing my pulley's

She (Irritatedly) I know what a pulley is you smart ass! I asked you a civil question why can't I get a decent answer?

He: I am polishing my pulleys, Moosehead said it's a good idea.

She: You've been drinking Moose head and it told you to polish your pulleys?

He: Just a second almost done

She stands there for a moment shaking her head, anger glowing in her eyes. She abruptly turns, shuts off the garage lights, slams the house door shut.

Fade out: You hear the dead bolt on the house door click.

Very well done. The pain these cars put us through some times is hard to take but when that key is turned all is forgiven :D

Most People would a Written that car off, I worked for a large Wrecking Yard for 5 years, met lots of people salvaging and restoring wrecks, but never saw anything with a dash fire being fixed, I saw lots of 750 engine fires. This ///M5 fell into the write hands.

I need to post pics. All the ones from the show include a huge roof rack cargo carrier, but you'll get the idea.
