Thanks Sherman. I found a place at the Stonewall motel about 20 miles away. Sounds like there's more rooms if anyone is still looking.
I still owe you dinner for saving our butts in Mississippi.

How about a sub-topic?
It'd be interesting to see what extreme situations people incurred in final prepping their cars.
Mine started as a simple belt change on the ///M5
that ended up being a remove the alternator and rebuilding the bushings
with it still down in there.
It's great having my own stash of spare parts (cars) !!!

Departure got delayed by about 20 minutes,
then a short drive to a sponsor to pick up some swag added about another 20 minutes,
but, we are now here.
The drive over was pretty awesome,
including an encounter with a black smoke blowing chipped Dodge one ton diesel.
Accommodations are nice, including the patio.
If you're coming into town this evening stop by if you're not staying at BCI and register.
Plan to hang out and enjoy some Modelo and Oak Leaf.
If your driving in in the morning, plan to be here and registered prior to our scheduled 9:00 AM departure meeting.
Then it's off to
.

Safe trip home LJ.
Thanks for the good memories.
Most of what happens in the Hill Country stays in the Hill Country.
Some we share...
OK guys, it's pic time.

Nice. I'm guessing that's
LJ checking something under the car and not
LJ tipped over on his face because he couldn't kneel, much less stand...
So, what about pics? Video > pics!

Paging Sherman! Leaving Texas there was an amber alert for a missing 'elderly person'. I hope you're ok.
I just made it in after a rather uneventful 13hr trek. The only mishap was some crappy watered down gas in Kansas.
Car was sputtering & running like crap for a while. I'll post a few pics later but for now I'm going to sleep for a week!

Couldn't let him get that way.
The Three Sisters hate drunks, and will only tolerate them for very short periods of time.

You'll see them, but,

Some of the cars at our first breakfast in Blanco...
...along with an unexpected visitor.
After breakfast it's back to Blanco County Inn for our driver meeting prior to Saturday mornings departure.
Those that lasted till the end enjoyed this last official stop on Sunday at the Knot in the Loop Saloon...

I didn't take too many pics but here's a few.
First meeting up with Sherman & Memo @ breakfast after the drive from Austin.
Already lost after about 15 minutes into the drive...
Pit stop for lunch.
I don't really remember why we stopped here...
7 E28's in all.
Before heading back to Blanco.
This view on the way back made me re-think my lack of a front air dam.

There'll be one on the front of your ///M5.
James' car is done up really nice and that's a great shot of it.

"COME ON DOWN"
Just make sure you and your car are in shape.
This years event proved somewhat brutal and revealed some weak points on both cars and drivers.
Again Steve,
Thank You for your support of our event,
and all the others across the country where I see your name pop up.
You're a great asset to our community.
See you in NC in May.

I definitely had an awesome time and can't wait to do it again next year. I'm not really sure my car was meant to do some of the stuff I was making it do haha.
