Finally replaced the connectors to the front parking light/turn signals. I was so sick of the fast tickticktickticktick turn signals I wanted to drive the car into a lightpole, and routinely chose the straightest path to work.

Weekly cleaning/tweaking of the connections would get me about a day of normal signal functionality. The $5 upgrade to new connectors has given me the ultimate luxury of bright, easy turn signals.

Listening to the tick....tick....tick....tick while enjoying the automatic AC temp function of my e28 has lead me to believe that the average new car buyer really overpays for unnecessary functionality.

That's about you buying tires from morons ...

You don't need a thin wall socket for E28 wheels.
I am aware. It's a joke. I had to go to a class yesterday after they wasted my time, so today I came back and handed them a crossbar which worked perfect.

And here I thought this was a serious thread ...

    I still say they're morons.

Re-re-wired the ignition circuit, my poor little under-rated over-loaded toggle switches finally bit the dust. This time I used heavy duty aircraft grade switches and built in provisions for a 120 volt AC bus and a 5v circuit for a microcontroller :) (for data logging and hopefully a custom display soon)

Edit: Oh, and also ran it out of gas (note to self: replace fuel level sending unit :x )

Used a $.50 chip clip to attach the cover to the front spoiler so it won't blow in the breeze.

And yes, I am planning on indoor storage by January based on the outcome of my previous thread.

Got new wiper blades for the car, did a rainX wipe treatment (already a big difference with just the little rain since I changes them O.O). Also got some rustoleum primer, and some gloss black spray paint, and a can of clearcoat, as well s some sand paper, to get me some rain protection on the parts mY clearcoat and paint is missing (like half the car). Found a rust spot and cried a little on the inside as well.

Went sideways/hydroplaning at 5mph around town due to my bald 10-ish year old tires I got the car with, working on getting some 20mm spacers to make sure I have clearance to put the 225/65/R15's on my style 29's, I would rather not by them at 100 a pair from Turner Motorsport, but I will if I can't find any others :/

Kicked it, added more duct tape to my nice leather seats.

On the subject of discount tire morons, last sat they managed to render 4 of 6 almost new tires I brought them to mount on my style 42s useless and the 5th they damaged but was still useable. They charges me 100 to mount and balance or should I say destroy 4 tires. 8 paid 100 from a friend for 6 really decent tires. So 200 later 8 had 2 tires that held air. Monday I went to a mexican tire shope and got 2 good tires, mounting, and balancing for 40. That was my first instinct too, but I wanted to take it to the pros. Not only that, when addressing the issue of them destroying my tires, there wasn't a manager available, only some twerps who probably weren't even old enough to drink.

Got a flat yesterday. Now I've got to decide whether or not to throw a cheapie tire on the RS rim, or have it refurbished and throw a nice tire on it. So it can sit in my driveway for another 4-to-however many months...

How long ago was that? The wrecker I went to wants $150 for the carpet and 4 panels. Wonder how much PNP would want?

EDIT: Looked up PNP prices, $19 per door panel, and $14 for the carpet. Not bad, wonder if those black interiors are still in Richmond?

KiiiNdA cut a single coil off the HD suspension springs front suspension, looks much better without losing drive quality :D
Then found I have 3/4's of a thrust arm bushing in each control arm And that I need To get spacers AND rings for the front to clear. Gunna mount rears and call it a day for now, get some use out of them then rotate them into the front tires when I get spacers etc.

Magnaflow and Bosal teamed up to give me another 4-10 years of waste routing, maybe. The DEC cat went 10 years, the entire time of my ownership of this car. The Bosal went for 3 years. The Magnaflow seems to be more nicely made than the DEC, but not necessarily any more accurately made. While the DEC put the exit pipes so close to the passenger side as to require a driver's side extension on the rubber hanger arm, the Magnaflow puts them too close to the driver's side of the tunnel, but still workable. A little additional bend was required in the rear 3 manifold branch both for installation's sake and for results to the exit. The donut for the adjustable length side of the exhaust was a poor fit over the cat outlet, as it was for the previous cat as well. Numerous repositioning and retorquing episodes continued to result in leaks. In the end, a shim under the donut (ack) finally gave a good seal on the first try. Much better than what was under there before...

I think a Y pipe joining the manifolds with a 3" outlet and a mated catalytic converter would sell a few to the replacement exhaust needers.
