If they're not gonna catch me, forget it.

I've also passed ambulances in the DC area. There were 4 lanes. I figures it wasn't hurting anything if i passed 2 lanes over...

Probably REALLY bad form, against all kinds of rules, and If i get bitched out for it, I DON'T CARE.

If there's traffic or i'm on a city street where i am obviously in the way, OF COURSE I pull over as far as safely possible.

In other news, I drove all three of my running cars to and from work yesterday. Let musical bimmers begin!

Walked into my office after lunch to see a sleeping pigeon against the large window glass on a small ledge, whacked the glass forgetting my class ring, the report was so loud, the pigeon fell off the ledge leaving a streaming length of pigeon crap sprayed on the glass. The window washers won't be back for a month...damnit

Special day, went and had a 2x4 (Animal style) and tried to go 4x4 in the ix, but all the trails had "verboten" signs up that I hadn't noticed. Grrrr

Leaving now to the folks house to shoot Christys new piece.... A Ruger LCP, since the Walther PK 380 was too heavy for CC. Also going to experiment with my .45 on a phone book or two just for shits and giggles.

I'm over at the printer and hear a sound from my cube that was a cross between an air raid siren and a submarine emergency dive alarm.
I didn't realize my phone settings were on 'nerd'.

Better call mom. Or just wad up a tissue and stuff it up the offending nostril; that's what my mom would say.

We ran out of tissue, so I used a light flow tampon. Phuking magic these things! :alright:

It was 100F today, well, ok, 99 to be exact, and the neighbors weren't in their pool today. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, last weekend it was 102 both S and S and they didn't go in until it Monday when it was only 90. Neither family, there's two of with 4 adults and about 4 kids and 8 cars.

Friendly too, when I grew up neighbors always invited neighbors if they had a pool. Not them.

I feel this way too! We recently moved into our house and the neighbor behind us has this fancy pool all fenced it. They are old, like 80 old and we watch to see if they ever use it (yeah, nosey neighbor here sometimes) and we've only ever seen them skimming the water for leaves. What's up with that crap?

Chik fil a?

Made contact with two old bimmer owners.

One was a mixmash of e30s, but ultimately a turbo m20 Sedan that was pushing 20 lbs until ... Wait for it... Yup. HG.

The second was an e28. Debadged, but it's a m30 powered e28 that began life as an eta. Auto. Say sorry. This guy caught me putting my contact info under his wiper. I was driving the x3, so he rolls up, "what did you put on my car?".
He was all serious until i told him i had one and that i've been working on them for years... (apparently his overheats a little)

If this isn't random, and slightly creepy, I don't know what is. In fact, I'm not sure what it is. Period.

That thing was so stinkin' slick for getting the 32 allen bolts out of the rear axles I could hardly believe it. Knocked them loose with the driveshaft on the floor under the car and the rear brakes totally off. And the big nasty bolts holding the trailing arms on, and the big nasty bolts holding the rear dogbones in place... No more busted knuckles (well, fewer anyway) and no more cheater bars.

Never ever ever again will I work on a car without an impact driver. Never.
And I already told my wife that she can get me a cordless one for my birthday. It would even count as my Christmas present and anniversary gift.

$40 on sale at Menards.

Building a carton to ship a gas tank.
This is the second one in just a few weeks.

You're welcome! I'm loving mine still too. Had to swap wheels on my daughter's car last weekend, and had it done in about ten minutes; so much easier loosening and removing wheel bolts with that thing than with the lug wrench from the trunk. I still used a torque wrench when tightening them down, but it's great how much quicker little tasks like that are with that gadget.

So I went out to the barn earlier to look for something I had hidden from myself and spied 3 baby birds huddled in a corner. I guessed they had fallen from the nest high above so I retrieved a ladder, scooped the little fuckers up and then climbed to put them back in their happy home. As I got to the top I was greeted by a corn snake with a fat lump in it's belly. Probably the reason the brothers three had "flown" the coup I surmised while sliding back down the ladder hitting every third rung with my chin, knee and an occasional ear. I set the birds back down in an opposite corner and wobbled off. Damn birds.

Wouldn't it just been easier to remove the corn snake???

Last summer, we watched a nature show on the front lawn . A weasel had a baby cotton tail by the throat. First time I've ever seen a weasel up close. Nasty buggers. Flash forward a year and I found a dead squished weasel in the litter left from a pile of old wood that I used for lighting brush piles last winter. He musta been hibernating in the wood pile when we shifted it . We have all sorts of critters because the house backs up to a freshwater marsh and woods .

Was walking around the house last night at 3:30 am as I normally do when I stepped on a Lego. I cursed that "Slimdevil" guy here for a good 5 minutes.
Bastard.
