While I was driving on one of Virginia's smooth as glass roads, I hit a pothole and the engine cut out for a second, but then it was fine. A little later after I came of out Target the car wouldnt start, it didnt even try to turn over. A quick check under the hood and I discovered that the negative cable was loose.

I also noticed a wet spot in the driveway, the car has a slow drip of coolant, I havn't tracked it down yet other than it is coming from the drivers side of the radiator but it doesnt seem to be coming from the hose. Can these radiators be repaired? Or is that just brass ones that can be soldered?

Sometimes JB weld will get you by for a while,,at least until the weather is more reasonable for further investigation.

Ok, I just found one reason I dont like this new format. You can't just send a email using your own email program. The built in one is fine for text, but if you want to send a attachment you are assed out.

The larger version is 640 x 701 and 214 kb.

Shoot me a email at dave@maisenhelder.com and I will email it to you. I would be interested in a tee shirt my self.

Dave, I have a radiator out of an '86 if you need one. The overflow connector is broken off. The previous owner just replaced the whole thing. It's yours if you want it. I'm in Charlottesville.

I belive the Factory Service Manual has that very same M30 cross section. If you need higher resolution, I can scan it for you, Duke.

Jeremy

EDIT: It's there, and it's the exact same picture as above. It's page 11-301 for anybody interested.

Speaking of E28 radiators, is there an all metal top/bottom tanks version available, or are they always these plastic things?
