so I'm getting tired of the headaches of the OEM system on the m30 and starting to think about going stand alone before I get the blower on. Any one have any good recommendations? I personally prefer Haltech, but figured someone would have some good input.

Check out the FI forum, lots of documentation for mega squirt. You can get a fully asembled unit, harness, sensors etc for under $600. Www.DIYautotune.com sells everything MS related

What do you mean by headaches? Installing standalone to avoid headaches is like punching yourself in the face to stop a nosebleed.

You should be asking your local tuners this question. I ran the Haltech E11v2 for a few years but lacked the ability to max power with no dyno or tuners in the country.

Haltech is stupid simple if you have a dynot with the autotune setting.

I'll be doing my own tuning.
