Trying to save money on future purchases and saw a source of some cheap(used) camber plates. So I want to know if my info is correct. The only reason I am considering these items is that I plan on lowering my car someday in the far future and I am worried about tire wear. From what I understand is that when you lower an e28, you "increase" the negative camber of the car. This change in camber will cause tires to wear faster on the inside edge. So to compensate for this one who would need camber plates in the front and those eccentric things in the trailer-arm bushing in the rear. I do not want to have to buy tires every 5k-10k like Raj :p I have seen the front plates that are adjustable and non-adjustable and the rears that are only adjustable. Does this matter also? Which way should one go? Do I even know what I am talking about %)

Bobby, you're right on about using camber plates for your 5er. They will make your tires wear evenly after you lower your car, if everything else is ok.

On adjustability, it really depends on if you are going to track the car. If you are going to do track or autocross, you want to be able to adjust. If you're going to stick to street driving only, you may not need the adjustable plates.

More info from some of the companies who manuafacture camber systems for our 5ers:

Ground Control: http://www.ground-control.com
K-Mac: http://www.k-mac.com.au/

Bavarian Autosport also has an installation guide available: http://www.bavauto.com

I havent seen any problems with the front when lowered, just the rear. If you spend a lot of time drving hard in turns, a little extra negative camber in the front can help your tires last a little longer.
Bavauto sells the rear Kmacs (and fronts too).

Thanx Layton and Cacatfish. I will not be autocrossing or tracking the ride. Just daily driving. Guess I will not really need to get the fronts. The ones I was refering to are the supposed DINAN camber plates on ebay.
