I am looking to upgrade my injector connector from the simple stock clip style to the style where you simply push on the metal connector clip and the connector pops off. I know not a very good description but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about.

I saw a link either here or on firstfives several month back to a site that sold a variety of electrical connectors including fuel injector connectors. Anyone have the link or know of a source??

Thanks,

Craig

I just did this last week on my 535. I used Saab injector clips with the push-release. I obtained them RIDICULOUSLY cheaply at a pick and pull junk yard. Simply remove the old wire connectors from the "new" clips by pushiing in the retaining tabs with a jewelers screw driver. The saabs have two retainers inside. Then do the same with the bmw clip, renovate the retaining tabs on your BMW wires, and push them into the new clippy.

Interestingly, you'll find that the Saab wire connectors are of a higher quality manufacture, with extra springs and two retaining tabs vice just one, but I still didn't opt to solder up the wires except on one broken clip I had to replace. It looked like too much extra labor.

I also replaced the connector on the coolant temp sensor for the same reasons. Got a blue one to match the sensor inself...

HTH,
Andrew.

Excellent info, Spindo, thanks. SAAB's are becoming ubiquitous in the yards.

Craig, I just received these from Summit. They were cheap, too!
