...my 19 m/m rear sway bar had popped the spot welds loose and was relatively easy to weld back on by laying a bead around the edge of the existing flange but I didn't add any of the gussets like Shawn did. This time the welds held but the bracket was torn off so I now will be looking for another bracket to install. It happened to be the bracket in front of the fuel tank and I will be replacing the cut fuel lines too.
If you have bigger sway bars, reinforce them but not the 'cheap' way I did.
BTW, it wasn't autocrossing that did it - entering a steep driveway at an angle that articulated the suspension to the breaking point. !@#$
