Ive got 3 sets of 16" BBS Cross spoke (basket Weave) Style 5 RS whatever you like to call them.

The area all 7.5 wide 120mm X5 and 72.5 mm hub.

But one set looks a touch diffrent...they spokes go all the way to the edge of the wheel rather than stopping at the edge giving that deeper dish look. (they are still all single piece wheels)

I had a guy e-mail me wantig to buy the Later set, he asked fro part numbers etc... and he emailed me back saying they would not fit as they are E30 M3 BMW wheels, and that they would not fit his 635i because they where ET-27 my oher 2 sets are ET-20

I used to have the ET-27 on my old E12 and they also fit a E28 (i beleive the offsets are the same for E30 M3 as well?

They should fit a 6 series..but he seems to beleive they wont..they should shouldnt they?

Also what does the ET-20 and ET-27 actually stand for?

Im very curious as everything is identical minus that the Spokes go to right to the edge rather than stopping about an inch away.

Thanks.

The ones with the spokes that go allthe way to the rim are the original equipment for the US e28 M5. The et20 is the correct offset for 5 and 6 series cars, but the 6 can use as low as et10. et27 would require spacers in the front, and wouldn't fill out the rear wheel wells of the 6er.

BTW, would there be any Handling benefits using these wheels ET-27 over the ET-20 on a E28?

Would the wheels sit out a little further?
