I run 15w40 with a heavy additive. I think most run 20w50.

hardtotellwiththelackofcapitalization, etc.
There are many many many oil discussions. Your choice may be different than mine, depending on where you/car are located. Try a Google site search to find info on this oft-discussed topic.
If you filled in your location in your profile you may discover that you are surrounded by E28 owners and could meet some this weekend!

Your butt dyno needs recalibration.

Aerodynamics make no difference at low speeds, and are generally disregarded for speeds below 60mph.

The air temp sensor you are talking about only tells the on board computer display the outside temperature. It has no effect on engine operation whatsoever.

Of the day? I hear it from my wife quite often. It's a noun and a verb for her.

FreetoRide, is 15-40 with a heavy additive, would that be Andy Granatelli's STP? or some new "hep" juice full of molybdenum? just curious. Are oil additives a good idea?

I use Lucas. I don't know if it is the best idea because I don't have a whole lot of experience with engines pushing 300,000mi.
