I will need to use a 10mm spacers in the front with a set of wheels I'm eying up. However I've been told that using spacers will result in front end vibrations. Is this always the case?

What are the best wheel spacers to use?

Your going to want to have Hub-centric wheel spacers(raised center flange). It has a lip that the inner part of the wheel sits on so that the wheel is centered and also as an added bonus the weight of the car is not directly on the lugs. Your car should already have that lip. Consider the hub-centric spacers an extension of that. That should take care of that shimmy/front end vibrations your worried about.

I have some MONSTER adapters on the front of mine that ARE NOT hubcentric with no vibrations. So no, its not always the case. I decided to go with adapters because i didnt want real long lug bolts. Words of caution. If you go with adapters MAKE DAM SURE the lugs bolts that your wheels bolt to ARE NOT going to break lose and spin freely in the adapter. Do whatever means nessasary to make sure that doesnt happen. I can tell you that from experience. As I have still not figured out a way to get my front left wheel off! :@ :?

As for where youll find 10mm spacers. Not quite sure... BMP makes a 15mm billet aluminum spacer kit that sells for $89 or a 12mm alloy spacer kit that sells for $99 and of course youve got shipping costs...

Heres the link to the wheel section of the BMP catalog

Hope i was some help.... Good luck!

If you buy wheels and tires from tirerack -- they will include the Hub-centric spacers if needed. The only thing you need to worry about is rubbing. Our wheel wells don't fit big enough (for the enthusiest) tires, and you need to beware and make sure you don't rub.

Just use enthusy or enthusier tires then, not enthusiest.
