Yes. There are many reasons and usually, you'd need the offset and other info, but honestly, no way.
Look at member Shawn D.'s profile or the signatures under his posts. He has a link to an excellent document which will allow you to run calculations to see what works and what doesn't work on an E28 along with a list of known combinations and measurements of their fitment.

Nah, 22" minimum. It takes some welding and some shop work, but 26" will fit nicely.

Too big for
what?
A car with only minor rear fender rolling/trimming? Yes, too big.
A car with heavily mangled front & rear fenders with "stretched" tires? Doable, but IMO absurd.

Geez, 18s typically look comical on an e28. I can't imagine 19s. You will have a hell of a time getting 10" wheels on the back (yes, I am running 10" wheels on the back of my car)and offset is extremely critical but I have a feeling that hasn't even crossed your mind yet. And once you get the offset right to clear the trailing arm, then you get to hack away at the fender to actually get a tire to clear.

Buy some 17's with smaller-than-purist-accepted tires and they will look bigger than they actually are. Hence why I run 16" with 205/50/16. Are they correct? No. But who cares. Car still runs fine.

16-17" are perfect for these cars. Please do not waste your money...

Only the ones that take six days to come up with a snappy comeback like this one.

He posted in your thread and there's a link in his signature. If you can't figure that out, you won't be able to figure out the spreadsheet.
