Would it be possible to add a 'Region' field to everyone's profile? How much work would it be to include it on the board & have all members fill it out upon next login?
I was brainstorming a handy way to sort members based upon a common key field. Region just might do the trick.
I think the idea is decent, but I don't think we should make it mandatory. A lot of folks like their privacy and anonymity. A couple of forums I'm on have regional "groups" that people can join. I don't know if this forum has the traffic or membership to support that sort of thing.
