Figured I'd start early.
Our current plan is to depart the morning of 10/17 & stay overnight in San Antonio. From there we'll be hitting up one or 2 select locations (primarily salvage yards) & then continuing on to Leakey the afternoon of 10/18.
Our planned route looks
like this.

You will be going right past my house in Ponca City, OK off I-35. If Dave gets his kitchen pass that makes three.

Here's
our route.
It's what we drove out weekend before last which included
this nice little stretch of 337.
Pretty sure I recognized the spot where you, LJ, and I were forced to take a brake,
, a few miles east of there, but didn't slow down this time.
I did find up on 336, your and Luis' rest area is still there waiting for you, again.
We should pass through the
1604 @ 16 intersection, northwest of SA, around 2:30 PM on the 18th.
There's an Exxon station there if you wanna try to meet up and
the rest of the way together.
That last leg on your route from SA on 90 to 127 to 83 is pretty boring, especially the 90 part.
I know, because that's the way we chose to come back home.
That won't happen again.

Cindy mentioned Underwood's chicken recently so I think I'll take the hint and plan a route going through Brownwood for lunch:

I'm a slacker... Going to install tonight. I recall one spot where I almost bottomed out last time I made that run.
Was it an ez install??

Yep took us 20 min to do mine, considering Sherman did his the day before. But it's a nice kit. You can still do oil change and get to the drain plug with it on.

Fixed that for you. Something looks odd on that picture... hmm
