Received tracking via PayPal but doesn't seem to work.
Seems like a good guy though
Any news from the seller? Any of your tracking numbers working?drosas wrote:I pmd him and got a response a few days later.dude8383 wrote:Anyone hear back from the seller? The seller has only made 18 posts since joining. Pretty sure this is not looking good at this point.
the tracking number works but now says "origin post is preparing shipment"dude8383 wrote:Any news from the seller? I just noticed an email from paypal that shows a tracking number has been attached.drosas wrote:i haven't heard back in a while either. i received my tracking number via paypal though, not directly from himdude8383 wrote:damn it. i don't know why im being ignored by this guy. im not really being pushy here... im just asking him for a tracking number.drosas wrote:i figured maybe it's barely clearing customs or something. i've never bought something from out of the states so i am not too familiar with how it works.

Great... my "package" has arrived in Flushing NY. I knew that once this guy fell of the planet we'd be saying sorryreesesboot wrote:Hi everyone,
I just received my "euro bumpers" in the mail.
This is what was in the box.
Same tracking number as what paypal gave me. I'm now opening a dispute on PayPal. This asshole is likely scamming you too.
Let me know how that goes... considering that there's a legitimate tracking number there Paypal may not be too easy to deal with.drosas wrote:thanks for the update. starting a paypal claim as well
Well I figured as long as we have evidence that the seller is a scammer (which we do now) I figured it shouldn't be too difficult of a process? Then again I've never had to do a paypal claim so I guess we will see how it plays out.dude8383 wrote:Great... my "package" has arrived in Flushing NY. The problem with PayPal is that if you've received something, they're going to tell you to # sand. Doesn't matter if it's the wrong item or what.
If you used a credit card, your best bet is to go through your credit card provider.
It's for these reasons I will only deal with trusted sellers.
Of course, have you contacted the seller to see if there was a simple mistake?

Here's some pictures of the actual package. You can tell that I wasn't too happy when opening it. The tracking number on the package matches the supplied tracking number supplied by PayPal and the package has my correct name and address (obviously). When it went through customs, the seller wrote that the value of the item was $1. I find it highly unlikely that the seller simply made a "mistake." Nonetheless, the representative from Paypal said it should be an easy claim due to the fact that the claim doesn't concern the quality of the item received but the item itself. A cluster gauge is not remotely close to any car bumper. The only thing that I'm worried about at this point is having to ship the gauge BACK to Bulgaria and waste time and money when I should be throwing my money at Ivo.

In my particular case, I received an item that is not remotely close to the size/price of car bumpers. Because my case has nothing to do with subjectivity (i.e. "The product is not of quality the seller suggested"), she said the claim will be straight forward. Basically he has 10 days to respond to the dispute. The money is frozen. If he does not respond within the 10 days, all the money is returned. If he does respond, he'll have to be a pretty damn impressive lawyer to convince PayPal that a cluster gauge doubles as car bumpers.
You other buyers will most likely have to wait until your package comes. Hell, it might even be the euro bumpers you bought. Who knows.
