WTB: e28 steering box

Looking for a good condition stock steering box for an 83 e28. I realize finding a tight, slop-free one is unlikely, but I am not interested in one with a "clunk" on center; got that already. I am willing to pay reasonable price for one in like-new condition. Let me know what you've got! Thanks in advance.

I've got a good one from a 528e. Mount wasn't broken. Can ship it next week.

Well, you can have a tight factory rebuilt one! I still have the one that I got from the shop that closed down in PR and I brought with me to NJ.



According to RealOEM it fits all of the E28 family, 533i, 535i, 524td and 528e.
