odd sound coming from area of turbo

I have a Dinan turbo set up in my E28. The other day the engine got hot due to a faulty thermostat that caused all the coolant to exhaust itself out the overflow bottle. I had it towed home made the repair and all has been fine since, EXCEPT that same day after I made the repair I detected a strange sound coming from the passenger side seems to be other side of firewall and low near underneath of car. The sound is like the tire rubbing on fender. Actually hard to describe almost as tho the center bearing went bad but located where the turbo is underneath engine. This sound only occurs when coming down on compression when throttle is left off and after turbo engaged . Everything operates as it did before and without issues. Only thing different now is this sound. I have an A-A unit so I don't think it water cooled. I'm a new owner here and I bought it with the Turbo. Had it a couple of months now and I just love it. It runs like a raped ape when engaged. Any thoughts as to what is going on? TIA Sean

I'm not sure what kind of bov or recirc setup you have with the dinan kit, but my m102 recirc whistles when I shift under boost . If yours is sounding different I would check it and boost hose that activates it. Also pull the intake off compressor and check turbo center bearing spins free and no slop.
