Intake Routing advise

So I'm planning out this turbo system. I'm initially gonna run TCD chip so I'm gonna keep the motronic system in it. My question is how do I squeeze all these items between the mafs sensor and the throttle body. Items such as idle stabilizer and the blow off valve?? Can I mount the mafs sensor closer to intercooler, place a pipe behind it with a blow off valve on it and the route tha pipe to the STOCK intake boot with the idle stabilizer in it?? How can I get around this??

Correction: I believe I'm seeing ppl mount the mafs on the intake to the turbo and a machined aluminum pipe going from intercooler to intake with idle stabilizer on the machined pipe... Is this correct? Does anyone make the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the intake??

C'mon guys give me something here... I know it might seem like a rookie question but just take few seconds out of your day to answer... Where can I get one of those metal intake boots??

Are you asking if the AFM should be before or after the turbo? I did it both ways and didn't see any difference. I think most prefer it before as a flow through.

My simple setup without an intercooler. 3" exhaust pipe used for the intake pipe.

You might try an early m102 intake piping setup.That's what I'm using. Originally available in 81 e23 745. you can find them on ebay sometimes. That is if your mounting the turbo low like the original bmw 745. the later 745 piping (84/m106 i think) did not have the recirculating valve for blow off, but it could easily be added.

You're dumping metered air with this BOV set up if that is your final set up. I would think it would stumble on every pressure release because of going too rich.

To the OP, ideally you will re-circulate the BOV between the AFM and the turbo when the AFM is draw through.

If you run the AFM In blow through, you need to mount the BOV before the AFM and then you do not need to re-circ

As Todd said, what manifold and intercooler are you using?

I think he meant what exhaust turbo manifold...

I can't speak to the blow through vs draw through effectiveness but if it's the a same as demetk mentioned then mount the AFM between the intercooler and throttle and then mount the blow off valve before the AFM so you don't have to recirculate. The idle valve then needs to pull in from between the AFM and throttle

That's what I got...lol. I guess that leaves one half of my original question....any suggestions on WHERE I could get an intake pipe that I can connect the idle stabilizer and the second (check valve) connection that goes to the CO2 canister...??

Can't you build it with exhaust pipe? Easy to work with and and easy to weld fittings and bends on. I used 3" pipe for mine.

I have no idea what your fabrication ability is or what your intercooler really looks like but I would start here: http://www.vibrantperformance.com/catal ... cPath=1022

I've used vibrant tubing both professionally and personally and they should have what you need. A 3" OD pipe is what you need to connect to the throttle body.

Just wanted to add that you do not want to use the stock intake boot (with the provisions for the ICV and PCV). It is not design to be in positive pressure application.
