So, this is why I'm not at Vintage

I haven't been on this site a lot lately. Combination of wrecking my e28 (still depressed) and having a job where I can't surf the web. Anyway, here's the news of the day. Our daughter was born today at 12:27 PM. Scheduled c-section. Hope everyone has a good time at the show!

Big congrats to both of you. Y'all will make great parents. Have you met the father? Seriously this calls for a bourbon and a cigar.

I'll be at the hospital for a day or two, but after that, the bourbon and cigar will happen.

Congrats, Tyler! She's beautiful (good thing she favors her mom.
) You guys do good work.
Be warned; those little critters have a tendency to get you wrapped around their little fingers pretty darned quick. Not much you can do to prevent it, in fact I recommend just going with it. Expect to catch yourself doing all manner of not-so-manly things to please her, including but not limited to making "cute" noises, silly faces, playing "dress-up", singing funny songs, watching her favorite movies countless times until you know the characters' lines by heart and those lines stick with you even after she's grown up, etc... Enjoy every minute you have with her; they go by way too fast.

It's funny, Aaron M. called me to find out where I was as I was composing this thread.

Many congratulations Tyler - that's the place to be! I look forward to future trips, but the journey you start now is the ride of a lifetime. See you soon, and I look forward to meeting the bairn!

Congrats Ty! As a new father myself (4 SHORT months ago) - it really does fly by. I feel like it was yesterday around dinner time when we can home. Now she's eating baby food and trying to crawl! Yikes.
Have fun, you're gonna fall in love all over again.
Maybe next year we can meet, I'm trying to talk my wife into all three of us going.

Congratulations Tyler!! I can second the notion that somehow little girls get you wrapped around their little finger and they become daddy's girls. Enjoy your little blessing.

Is it a poor time to discuss my Beamter membership? Seems my code doesn't work at the gate anymore.
