T25/T28 on an m30

So my friend has a brand new t25/t28 turbo with an internal wastegate. He's offering it to me for a good price. I'm wondering if this will be good for an m30b34. I know the ideal turbo is the t3/t4, but I'm just wondering if the t25 will do anything for my m30.

Not expecting insane power, just wanting to give my m30 a little more.

Never use anything smaller than a straight T4 on a m30. A "good deal" on a turbo is the best way to sabotage a build. Buy the manifold first.

Okay, I'll save for a T4 then.

I'm curious as to why I shouldn't use something smaller than a T4. Will it just not give any power? Or will it destroy something?

Too small for the engine size and characteristics.

Daym t3/t4 that takes me back. do people still use that term ?
It was a t3 turbine on a big compressor so they called it a t4 or something like that. idk Some 90's shit.
You guys remember rayjay turbos? t3/t4 turbonetics etc. :D

T25 is usually found on a small 4 cylinder, or in my case, two of them on my 2.6 litre RB26, you will make boost at idle and choke the motor at higher RPM.

A GT30 or GT35 is better suited (garrett example), an easy solution is the GoodNTight manifold for the M30, bolt up a decent turbo and wastegate, run a decent ECU, even a plug in Megasquirt, sort the fueling system out, decent exhaust and intercooler, and go have some fun
