Whats the recommended megasquirt brands?
Whats the recommended megasquirt brands?
I was planning on doing a low boost setup but then I thought if I'm going to do it why not go hard so I'm going to need something to control this stuff.
I'm preferring a plug and play or something that can piggy back the ECU, I really don't want to wire something like that up in case I mess it up.

I strongly recommend converting to motronic 1.3 before doing any megasquirt thinking.
Diyautotune.com
If you want plug and play, look at the PNP kits.
DIYPNP is more involved. Hense the DIY part. But much cheaper.
I run motronic 1.3 and DIYPNP on my M30B34 with ford racing #42 ev6 injectors and a walbro 255lph pump. Also a GM megasquirt ecu.
On an hx40 equivilant turbo @ 18psi problem free.

If you can install a car stereo, You can hardwire a megasquirt. I would prefer a direct wire to sensors, etc, vs. a bunch of connectors patch corded together.
good luck

Like mentioned before, switch to 1.3 before hand. Check out the link in my signature. Goes into detail about the 1.3 swap as well as building the 55 pin diypnp.

Know a good place to find a 1.3?

I pulled everything I needed out of a e34 535i I found in the junkyard. I know someone had kits available but I've have forgotten thier info. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Send Bimmerguy2002 a PM. I bought my swap from him and was really chill about it.

I'm parting an e32 with everything needed for the wiring swap including all known good components. Pm me if you're interested
