A few eh photos of my 745i

Post by offroadkarter »

I've never actually shared pictures of my car here. Most likely because its terrible compared to some of the restorations/restomods I see posted here.

I had to get my car out of the garage to work on a few projects, first time I've moved it in two moths actually. Slapped the rear brakes together with new rotors, still have to find time to do the fronts. Also I need rear ABS sensors and my diff mount is tearing like hell. Best part, I put a new 2.5bar FPR in a while back and I had a chance to see what it did through the RPM range. It used to idle at 11.8 and WOT @ 10psi was 13.6, now it idles at 11.1 and WOT is 14.4. Absolutely the wrong direction of progress! This EFI system is so ****'d up I need to just rip it all out and go to MS3.

I've considered selling this car, but I do like driving it. I'd really like to get my TCD S3 and Cartech W2A setup on here with a MS3 and see what it'll do.

I didn't realize that BMW made a minivan.
I always liked your signature photo. I like the color and wheel combo.

Edit: just googled and 2-series grand tourer resulted. I was unaware.

I'm good at hiding its flaws on camera. The pass side fender has about 7 dents in it and the hood has a mismatching paint spot from the prior prior owner who tried to do some genius paint blending. This car really needs a repaint but I'm not going to do that until I deem it worth the cost which will be after it runs/drives perfect.

Also, the 2 series active tourer isn't sold in the US. What you're seeing is a F15 X5. I know mye28 is the biggest fan of modern BMW's
