I am talking with a guy with a euro 6 series that is turbocharged. He is saying his car makes about 700 at the crank. He sent me a dyno sheet showing almost 600 at the wheels. Is a 100hp drivetrain lose realistic? Also he says he has a lot of money in the car and he is wanting what I think is good money for the car. I know a company called TRD (think that is right) makes a kit but it is half the power for a few grand. The guy with the car is claiming he has 60k in the motor alone. What are your thoughts on the matter and is 60k realistic to put in a motor?

Picture of the engine bay? If not, what engine? The dyno sheet doesn't look like a m30. Most likely a normally aspirated v8 or V12. $60k spent on the engine? That's got to be a joke.

The dead give away on the picture you posted is the AFM which indicates a stock Alpina setup which makes abt 300rwhp.

In addition the, video car dyno sheet, if you can find one will show a very peaky power curve. Probably doesn't make any power until 4000+ rpm.

I meet the guy at a car meet in the 90s but don't really know him. Have not gone to look at the car yet so don't know the story. He just claimed it made a bunch of power and sent me some paperwork and pictures.

haha yea like everyone has said, it's impossible for the engine pictured to make that amount of power. the dyno sheet doesn't even look like an M30 dyno graph. torque is nowhere close to high enough. if an m30 is making 600whp the torque would more than likely be over 700wtq.

there are all sorts of things wrong with that picture and dyno. that is obviously a stock engine bay
