I'll keep this short so we can get right to a solution.
M106 with a Getrag 265.
Planned output is 500-600whp, similar torque.
This is my first deep dive into older BMW's and I'm having a hard time finding any info on a clutch that will fit this combination and hold so much power. The goal here is to find a clutch kit, or a known quality combination of components to hold the power, and be reasonable to drive. If it matters, I want it to be single disk.

I guess the real question here is your definition of "reasonable drivability". Honestly, with a single disc you are just going have to compromise drivability with a single disc. You can have stock like drivability to mid 450s with the kevlar disc. Beyond that, the puck style clutches are going to chatter. Welcome to the forum. Judging by your location, I'd guess you're not far from my old stomping grounds of 55430. Do you have this build all mapped out to get your HP goals? Doing so will save you $$$ over the long run.

i love the kevlar clutch like todd said it drives like stock just some lovley grip to it
but it slips at a mild power level. mine slips 460tq/460hp. Sometimes it holds sometimes it doesn't.
What do you really recommend for the 450-500-550 crowd?
The tilton? is the pucked disc really that bad for a street car?

We do have the build all mapped out and everything ordered with the exception of the pistons. Resolving the clutch issue was, and will continue to be quite the adventure. I went a little off the deep end and decided on a Quartermaster Optimum RR - billet triple disc ridiculousness.

Don't wanna hi-jack the thread but I just wanted a bit of clarification....I'm a few month into a turbo e28 m30 and last month I replaced my breaks master cylinder....now I need a new clutch and half shafts...lol. I want the best options as far as money is concerned.... Am I crazy to say I would love to get a clutch to hold 400 to 450 ft lbs for less than $350..??? If this is possible please inform me of the set up. If this is not possible and unrealistic I'll take the closest option. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.
