wiring trashed: have CM5907 radio to install, need help

Have removed aftermarket radio and have refurbished ALPINE CM5907 to install, but wiring is trashed from previous owner efforts.
Have no connector to white and yellow wire rectangular, white plastic connector, all eight speaker wires cut, no connectors.
Have read all threads, printed out ETK, which makes some sense - but I am not an electronics tech so it is a bit beyond me.
Anybody have photos of the back of their radio they could share?
Car in question is a 1987 528e, with two front and two parcel shelf speakers (not premium); there is no amplifier under the parcel shelf in the trunk, but I did acquire on eBay if that would be helpful for install, also have rear premium speakers that could be installed - again if that would assist install.
Any assistance will be most welcome, have been struggling with this for over two months.
Thanks

I think I remember using this to sort mine.
If I'm not mistaken, the premium sound system uses a different wiring harness from the base model, as it routes all speaker wires to the trunk, then to speakers from the amp, rather than directly to speakers.
For some reason the wires in that image for the lights are red rather than white and yellow like they were on mine.
This may help you to get it sorted

Well, I'm still at this and while having made some progress am at loggerheads (stalled) at the wiring of the speakers.
I have power to the radio, the antenna raises and lowers with the on/off switch of the radio.
Am trying to utilize the 8 - round pin fader switch and believe that the yellow and blue radio wires go to it as shown in photos in this post. The yellow/brown and blue/brown I am less sure.
The wires in the car that lead to the speakers are as follows: passenger footwell blue and blue/red (not OEM wire) and the driver footwell is yellow and yellow/red (not OEM wires).
It appears that the rear speakers (parcel shelf) are: passenger blue/brown and blue/black (OEM wires) and driver yellow/brown and yellow/black.
Here is what I have done to wire the fader switch so far, any experienced advice would be most appreciated. Thank you all for patience and consideration.

I am too damn dumb to post photos, sorry CEK have read your post in FAQs three times, added photos to flickr and am unable to discover any joy; will this site ever host images itself?

So, for the "image posting challenged" like myself; I have the wires at the fader switch connected to the radio wiring harness as follows: yellow to yellow - blue to blue - yellow/red to yellow/red - blue/brown to blue/brown - blue/black to blue/black - yellow/black to yellow/black - and the red/gray and brown/black folded over and sealed. I really wish I had taken that summer job at radio shack forty years ago, maybe this wouldn't be so foreign to me then. The "Stereo Hut" might have given me more than an ALPINE Countach poster!

Update: after much on-line research, trial and error with jumper wires, and careful soldering of wires the ALPINE CM5907 is sending a signal to the non-HiFi speakers in the front footwells and the rear parcel self; after running through a fader control ( p/n/ 65 12 1 379 325 ). But there is an outstanding issue: every time I turn the radio off the antenna retracts as designed and the radio "anti-theft" red LED does not blink at all and then when I turn the radio back on "CODE" is displayed, the station memory is blank (no radio station frequencies remembered) - so I have to input the "CODE" once again and then either re-program the frequencies or just use the tuner.
The radio does not have any red/white or red/grey wires coming from it and the fader control has the red/gray and brown/black wires sealed (heat shrink) as I could not ascertain where to attach these wires to what circuits.
Any experience or assistance would be much appreciated. I have the EKM (wiring book) and have nearly memorized page(s) 6500-X
Thanks in advance
