E28 rough idle when cold. Idles great when warm?
Maybe the idle control valve? vacuum leak?

My comments are specific to the M30, but I’d look at:
-vacuum leaks
-coolant temperature sensor
-cold start valve
-idle control valve
-AFM adjustment
I’d more or less go in that order as well.
